I Return from Gender Reassignment Surgery in Thailand

Well if I wasn't the world's foremost experts on Transsexuals and such, I have now seen it all pretty much. (So to speak.)

Just returned from Thailand and experienced what is involved in Gender Reassignment surgery in Thailand. No, I didn't finally snap and get a pussy, but accompanied a good friend on her journey.

She chose one of the finest SRS doctors in the world and had her surgery at the MTF Clinic and her doctor is Dr. Kamol.

Dr Kamol is partners with Dr. Suporn widely known as the leaders in MTF surgery. People travel from all over the world to see this doctor.

We arrived at the clinic and the first thing that caught my eye was the elevator doors. On each floor the elevator doors depicted one of Dr. Kamol's more famous patients with a comment saying how pleased they were with the Dr. and the surgery in general. This guy is big business.

We went inside and proceeded to complete the paper work. After the business was done we went up to the room that she would be staying in for one week after the surgery before she can go home.

The rooms had two beds however she was to have the whole room to herself for her surgery. There was a Television and free internet.
She asked them if I was allowed to spend the night since her surgery was at 6:30 pm. They discouraged me staying but sayed it could be arranged for a fee and that I would not really see her as she would be staying in the recovery room for the first night.

So I decided not to stay there and come back the next day for visiting hours. I did stay right with her until the surgery and walked her right to the operating table with a tear in my eye.

I left her there and attempted to find my way back to my room in Bangkok alone. I got a phone call from her just after her surgery so I know she was ok. She said the nurses slept on the floor all night beside her bed to make sure she was ok.

So I headed back to the clinic in the morning the next day to see her and she was doing very well. I stayed at the clinic all day until 8pm when I had to leave. She was doing well but could not eat much of the many meals they provided, so I happily helped her eat them up.

She showed my the dressing and stuff and it was quite extensive.
They now have removed most of the bandages and say her stuff looks really good.

Everything was great the staff there are excellent and accomodating.
Would recommend it to others for sure.

I'm happy she is doing so well!!!! It looks like a very nice clinic from what I saw in the website. The elevator doors are awesome hahaha I wish we had ones like that here, it would definitely be a great aesthetic change from our boring grey and metal looking ones. tee hee hee

Lucky you that she decided to share this journey into her new life with you... I have always been curious about SRS. I would not personally get it myself but it is a very intriguing subject and journey.

Dr Suporn did Danielle Foxxx's as well. I know she went back for one revision with him and I have to say thus far she has the most attractive looking post op vagina. Danielle did have a resource web site she had up at one point for educational purposes. Sadly she has since removed it. I really enjoyed reading her blogs on it.

When Crag talks about how sought after this doctor is I too have to wonder what the spectrum is on pricing from a doctor who does a decent job to a doctor who is an artisan of sorts.

I believe it cost in the neighbourhood of 200,000 baht.
about $7,000 in canadian. (adjusted from $70.000 which was a typo/error)
This is a 5 hour operation.

This includes the pussy which can wet it self without lube.
(This is extra on the basic surgery)
Also a one week stay with food and care.

Much cheaper than Canada but u must also get to thailand.

In Canada, Brassard charges around $19K CAD, but his procedure is different from Suporn/Kamol. Both Brassard and Suporn are the best at the procedure they do. Suporns/Kamol is a more invasive surgery then Brassard but Brassard has a quicker recovery time. Either way both yield great results.

Of course my understanding is most ladyboys in Thailand go for the cheaper 70,000 baht sugery which is closer to the $2100 range CAD. (not $20,000 which i originally miscalculated.)

She was definitely paying for the advanced procedure and the best of doctors in the business. She did get the latest greatest available which will always cost more.

She did say the assisting surgeon was a caucasian english speaking doctor. So perhaps he was learning from the best to bring back to North America or Europe.

I was watching a documentary on HBO about the transgendered in Iran and the Doctor performing the procedure mentioned using part of the intestines but never said why. Now, thanks to this post, I know what it was for.

Yep, I think that is why she paid the big bucks.
I think it was twice as much with this option.
