every thread here has pics or you tube vids atached to them . can someone explain to me how to do this . cheers

for youtube...
just include the URL of the video into the forum. the forum has an automatic embedding tool so you don't need to put the embedding code only the URL
for photos....
when you write a reply (in advanced) or start a thread before you publish it there will be a tab that says "manage attachments". click this and a side window will open with an upload tool so you can upload photos.
