So I was visiting my girlfriend in Bangkok and we decided to go out for a night on the town. We were out for the day and had to get back and meet her ladyboy friend at Gullivers pub which was in the Nana area of Bangkok. We were a ways from there and could not find any taxis so far out so we grabbed a Tuk Tuk that we saw. Here is a video of the drive.
It gets busier as we get closer to Nana.
We got to Gullivers and met her friend and had a good dinner. Gullivers is a very large american style pub right in the heart of the entertainment area. It was very close to all the Shisha/Hooka bars and restaurant. Funny to see a big hooka pipe beside each table for blocks.
After that we walked together over the Nana Entertainment Plaza area and went to one of my favourite hangouts Tequila Bar for an early drink.
This is no ladyboy bar but it is the only place in Thailand that I have been able to find a decent glass of Tequila. So we hung out there for a while and shot pool.
After a losing a few games of pool to the resident sharks we went and hungout on the the street outside Nana Entertainment Plaza and watched the evening unfold. It was about 11pm and everyone was starting to show up. Nana Entertainment plaza is of course an adult mall full of gogo bars, ladyboy bars and other adult type establishments. Here you will find some of the finest ladyboys in the world. Outside on the street there are many ladyboys but the most stunning ones work inside the bars.
In the picture below Big Dogs is a nice little beer bar at the entrance to the Plaza and a cool place to hangout and people watch.
Here is a video I shot of the action and you will see all sorts of people walk by and also you can see a number of ladyboys working across the street.
One of the Ladyboys came over to talk and I took her picture.
Everyone is always smiling here which is why they call Thailand the land of smiles. More to come on my night out.
