Shilling on these boards

I'd like to say to everyone and the administrator that I'm very excited about discovering this website, as I've long thought it was needed. A fabulous shemale scene has evolved in Toronto and the GTA, and we really need a place to share information for everyone's benefit.

That being said, I noticed right away that there are a few reviews that are fairly "suspect" (to me, anyway), that look like certain girls are reviewing themselves and it's basically a thinly disguised ad. Nothing wrong with that if it's in the advertising section, but not in reviews. I understand that some of this is inevitable and especially with a fairly new website a bit of that might have to be tolerated as part of getting the whole thing going, so don't get me wrong; I don't mean to be hypercritical.

Just a suggestion: I recommend the administrators of the various discussion boards be really tough on any obvious shilling, as the credibility of this website will be a lot higher if the vast majority of reviews are genuine and as objective as possible. I have had some wonderful experiences with shemales and also been ripped off in the past, and this website will help all of us get more of the former and less of the latter.

Anyway, congrats on a great website and I will definitely participate and offer honest reviews!

Does it really matter who? This is the inetrnet, a place where you can go to get solid, truthful information from unverified sources so we can forth, and face the world, confident in our convictions knowing we are fully informed. :

As far as shilling goes, I appreciate the fact that you are planning to offer "honest reviews" enfused, but don't be offended if I wait to see your reviews before deciding whether you, yourself, are are a shill or not. It's up to each of us to determine the credibility of the reviews. Credibility of the reviews are based on the credibility of the poster. Credibility of the poster can be verified through reviewing their posting history and seeing what they've said in the past. Someone with only 2 posts and all of them gushing about a SP with a spotty track record for service might be deemed suspicious. Similarly, post count alone does not establish credibility for the poster as tglover and his 50 posts have proven today.

I'm not picking on you as a new member but as I look at your brief posting history, enfused, I notice a few inquiries about well known ladies asking for more details that are readily available on the site and then a dissertation on your introduction to the TGirl scene that I would say at first blush is definite fiction. In my experience the whole "TGirl Surprise" scenario is pure fantasy. It's not a scenario that a Tgirl would risk puting herself into and it's not something even the most open minded guy would take in stride his first time out. It's been acted out by consenting individuals, but never is it a true surprise. :

Welcome to the board enfused and I look forward to reading you reviews and determining how much credibility they and you have. It's nothing personal and maybe I'm grouchy today because of having to read tglover's 22 posts of in threads I frequent regularly.

I am really on the payroll for Nina, Lucy, Catherine, Vodka, Aneila, Dee, Monique, Samara and Sunshine, the others wouldn't fork up the cash, so they can look forward to being trashed!

Kent, I will post a review presently and you'll see I'm a genuine hobbyist and not a shill or a person with any agenda other than to share valid information about some of the ladies out there so we all have better information to make informed choices about whom we patronize. I would write the review of a lady I saw in Vancouver right now except I'm shingling the roof of a shed while we get a break in the rain this weekend. I will write that review presently, probably tomorrow. You'll see that I put a lot of effort into writing good reviews, not something I can just dash off in five minutes. BTW, I didn't mean to sound critical of this website, which I think is really great. I wanted to encourage vigilance, but I accept that the tone of my post could have been been less accusatory (sp?) and less critical. Most of the information here is great. I've detected a few instances of shilling, but I'll hold off talking about that until I get some credibility under my belt by writing reviews. I really prefer not to get flamed anymore so early in my involvement with an online community that I think is a great idea. Let's just keep having fun.

Another fun weekend on the board. I'll skip all the wonderful contributions from TGLover from the sounds of it and save some time and aggravation.

First off, welcome enfused and just remember one thing...weekends on the board can get out of hand. As much as I'd be interested to know who you believe is shilling specifically, Kent's made a reasonable point in that if you rely solely on what you read on the internet you are going to get a wrapped view of the world. There definitely are enthusiastic reviews on the board, but I don't know that I'd necessarily call them shilling unless the reviews are known to be incorrect or intentionally misleading. That's the key part. Everyone's experiences are going to be slightly different because, as Sunshine put it in another thread, it's mostly because of us. So if someone is more enthusiastic about their visit then it may be that thy are by nature very upbeat or that the the girls really excite them. But unless there's something intentionally misleading in the review, it's wrong to call someone a shill....you can call them a bad reviewer, or another silly name, but not a shill.

The T.O. tgirl community is relatively small as far as the active escorts go so it is easy enough for the membership here to police the shilling withoout getting all over the new guys *cough* Kent *cough*. Lets encourage the reviews and call out those we know to be incorrect as soon as posible to save us all from going through bad experiences...afterall isn't that what the board is about?

Since the topic has arisen again I wanted to highlight three posts that come across as shilling in my opinion. I don't know kgravy and I'm not saying he's a shill per se because the lady in question is somewhat well known and active on the board. Were the lady in question someone with less profile or even a negative profile, I might be a little more direct. But the posts have a certain tone to them that you don't generally expect from brand new members in their first posts...three posts, three threads, same enthusiastic response on the same topic. Take a look and decide for yourself.

Well, I have to admit that the posts in question do seem questionable (which is NOT to say that I have concluded they are shilling) and, were they in another forum than the "Promote Yourself" one, I might be more inclined to subject them to some scrutiny. However, as far as I am concerned, most of the postings in that particular forum are just "self-shills" and that is fine: that's what that forum is for. Try not to get too upset at people promoting themselves (by whatever means) in the self-promotion forum.

Dealing with this directly is the ONLY way to deal with such an unfair accusation KGravy and I have been having a cyber affair now for just over 6 months it was I who told him to JOIN the Tgirlforum site because he lives in BC and was finally wanting to pursue a relationship with a TRan's but the distance between him and I was to much for HIM so I thought what a better place to maybe meet a girl who was local then to send HIM here...HE asked if he could write a review about MY site since MY site is actually brand new and only a few months ago was NOT anywhere near as awesome as it is NOW and I said SURE but just keep it real when I saw what he wrote I realized it may come accross as contrived by others and that is FINE but that is an opinion of people who dont know me or haven't taken the time to get to know me I realize that any sort of review on here can be good or bad even if it's a glowing ONE

I'm sorry if you think that I was "Shilling" although I have NO idea what that word means LOL and I have NO time tonight to look it up because I'm busy working but a MOderator brought this thread to my attention and I thought it best to squash this befor it became something out of hand as I've been bashed befor NOW Looped I am in NO way implying YOU are bashing me that is NOT what I'm saying I am only saying that it is an HONEST review of MY site as KYLE which is his name has seen MY site go from Crayola kid to XXX reality in a matter of months and I guess he wanted to share that with others
