              Hi,

This past Spring, I wanted to relocate anywhere in Canada or USA. I had moved from LA to Montreal the year before and I had taken a beautiful house in Montreal's Village in Upper East side. I even took an option to buy the house. It was amazing. 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, 4 person jacuzzi, huge kitchen with granite counter-tops, wood floors everywhere, fireplace, 2 decks, 3-storey high, 5-car garage, an extra studio of 1500 square feet aside from 4000 square feet and 2000 square feet Japanese garden. I was in Love with that house. The street I was living was covered with tree-leaves during summer and the whole street smelled wood burning at night. I was only paying $2500/month for the place and my rent was cumulated into an escrow account as my deposit to purchase. I also had great tenants above me that were both University professors and they were extremely quiet. I never heard them argue or anything in 1 year.

Then the wife got pregnant and they needed a bigger place and they moved. Some other couple moved in and it was a freaking nightmare. These people argued all the time, threw things at each other, fought at 3am and the cops were always at the door, and that was the last thing I needed in my day. This was started to happen every night. And in the day time she wasn't working and she was nuts. She was screaming and bitching all day and cussing me out and insulting me when she would see me. I couldn't even concentrate to write anymore. So, I decided to abandon my $30,000 deposit that was already there and leave before I do something drastic to these people. I couldn't sleep anymore and it was affecting my quality of life altogether.

So, I decided to go look for a place in Toronto, in Seattle, in Vancouver, in Victoria, in Boston, in Burlington Vermont, in LA, in Miami, in Portland Oregon, and finally I decided for a 1,200 square feet loft in the Village of Montreal on Lower West side for $1,400/month with a 2 person jacuzzi, opened shower, contemporary kitchen, stainless steel appliances, high ceilings, brick walls, windows from ceiling to floor on 2 walls, great dynamical space layout, ceiling encastered halogen lights, washer/dryer, garage, and proximity to everything. At last, I have peace.

In Toronto, I always do very well and make excellent money there. The guys love me and its great. So, I looked at several place at The Pier, and other lofts, but crap, I couldn't find the quality, the space and the price ratio I wanted. The real estate market in Toronto is outrageous for what you can get in Montreal. And since we all mostly travel for work, it is irrelevant where we live, I thought. And working my ass off to spend it all in paying bills is not getting anywhere nearer my goals, with respect to my transition. I am a perfectionist in everything that I do and I care about everything. So, I want to achieving total complete assimilation into womanhood. So, I need to save my money.

So, I went to Seattle because over there after the crash, the houses were available everywhere along the Puget Sound and super cheap. $1,200/month for a beautiful house with everything I had in Montreal almost but on the ocean. The only draw-back was that whenever I would've needed to make money, I would've had to travel everywhere else. I thought that Victoria and Vancouver were close, but the market there isn't really the same as back east. The entire West coast is kind of funny that way with respect to Transsexuals Escorts, which is not the case for Genetic Girls escorting the West coast. Strange but anyway. So that took my drive away from Portland Oregon as well.

Then back at home, and I am making really good money. So, I went to Ottawa. I love Ottawa, but its really not the same as Montreal, nor like Toronto for our business. I checked out Miami, but the market is dead over there. It was never really strong in Miami anyway. Its survival money. Burlington is beautiful but not much of a market. So, yes, at last I decided to settle down in Montreal for the time being. And limit my traveling expenses in benefitting from the healthy market we have here. Traveling is fun but in the end carries a lot of expenses that I don't need to have.

Perhaps, the reasons others decide to move to Montreal rather than stay in Toronto or to move elsewhere are for the very same ones as mine.

Something to consider. Just makes economic sense.

              Sincerely,

              Bibiane

You must have a lot dough, to even consider living in Miami.

                  What You're funny!

Miami is one of the cheapest city in the US to live. The economy is very very low compared to anywhere else. New York is very expensive, Los Angeles is very expensive, but San Francisco is the most expensive city in the US to live, not Miami.

                  Anyway, Come visit Montreal!

                    ...

I've visited Montreal so many times I've lost the appeal of going there.

Well, Im talking about the 'nice' areas of west Dade county and up along the shore to Fort Lauderdale, including Miami Beach, where vallet parking is $100, Hollywood where a Subway Sub is $10, Jupiter (Average home price is in the top 10 in the USA).

Florida is notorious for having very high sales and gas taxes.

I only know this from a friend who travels through Florida a lot and is amazed at the cost living in these areas.

He does say the women in Maimi beach are the hottest in country, though, lol.

(for what its worth: In the city of Miami caucasians acccount for only 10.5%)

Well, I don't know where to start really on this, but I grew up in Miami. Miami is my turf. I began my transition in Miami also and began escorting there. I have done all my University studies there too. I have lived in Bay Harbor Island, in South Beach, in Fort Lauderdale, in Wilton Manor, in Pompano Beach and in Pinecrest. I grew up in Coral Gables in the Hammocks.

When you come to Miami as a tourist, you live and hangout in tourists traps and spots and eat and dine in touristic restaurants and pay for valet. Hotels in South Beach are pretty expensive and you can drop a lot of money there. But that's not how people live. Housing is extremely affordable. And you can still eat half a chicken with rice, black beans and plantain for $3.25 in South Beach. Like you can spend easily $150/person at Joe's Stone Crabs or at Smith & Wollensky on the Point near the Portofino Towers or on Lincoln Road.

As for women, they are ok I guess. Yes, lots of beautiful women and lots of fat ones too. I guess that if you hangout on the beach in South Beach at 2nd street where all the girls sunbathe half-naked, you could say that they are hot. Or if you go to Haulover Beach near Bal Harbor in Sunny Isles that everyone is hot because it is the nudist beach of Miami.

But the West of Miami-Dade isn't the nicest area. As a matter of fact one of the worst area to live in. But Miami-Dade East in Coconut Grove, Coral Gables and the Hammocks are the wealthiest area and most privy area of all South Florida. Jupiter and Vero beach are very nice but too far up north and too recluse to live there when you're young. These places up north are dormitory cities, as we call them because they are like retirement homes. They are the most boring place to be when you're growing up. But Fort Lauderdale is great for surfing and fun, but not much to do there aside from smoking weed. I prefer Miami-Dade.

God, I had a blast growing up there. Raquel Fox, Allanah Starr, Danielle Foxxx, Vanity, Ana Mancini, Nicole were older than us kids, which we were the new transsexual band that followed and we were Janira, Stephanie, myself and many of us that grew up there together in Miami. We all pretty much know each other. We all have gone through Marco.

So, I know Miami very very well. And its real estate market fell very badly after the economic crash because of over development in the condo construction every where throughout Southern Florida. Such that one could get right now, an amazing art deco condo unit in Miami for very cheap. But the freaking market is not very good.

Anyway, all this to say that Miami is one of the cheapest city to live in America.

                            Big difference, lol.

I agree with OP. Terah, Paris, Marlena, Layla, Miyoko. I don't like this trend.
