Not snowed in not yet anyway it's 28 degrees here in Northern Virginia with really strong wind gust I'm not looking forward to snow after all we had 30 inches of it last year.

Gee, I'm here in Buffalo, NY and just a few flurries. I can't ever remember re-scheduling an NFL game because of snow. Maybe this "climate change" has some merit.

it wasn't so much of an issue of game play, but rather fan safety here. It's really easy to get stranded down at the arenas with the right mix of weather. Plus the wind gusts near 50 mph aren't good for the fans seated in the nosebleed sections. That stadium is brutal in nice weather sometimes.

Thanks for the reply phillyguy. Domes like Toronto has should be mandatory for this part of the country.

Yes Ray, but a few flurries in Buffalo is a full fledged blizzard and emergency in other places. I have never seen a place that gets hammered with snow more than Buffalo and that says alot since I live in Canada.

Ray half the snowiest places on there are mountains, so they don't count. This looks more like a page you guys made to make yourselves feel better. In fact you know that when you guys get hit, it is like no other place. Some places may get more inches of snow, but Buffalo gets hammered by massive dumps, wind and lake effect snow.

When I was a kid I lived in Brantford, London and Toronto Ontario.
We got many Buffalo stations and I never saw anywhere that had more bad storms and huge dumps. I used to watch "Dialing for Dollars" every morning and it was amazing how many days the staff at the television station could not get in to work in the mornings. Far more than anywhere I have lived in Canada.

Rochester and Syracuse are not in the mountains. Yes if you live in certain areas you are subject to lake effect snow. My best friend lives in Depew which is a close suberb just south of the city. A few weeks ago he got 42 inches of snow. I live in Amherst, a northern suberb and I got about 2 inches. Because of one major blizzard in 1977, Buffalo somehow became the snow capital of the country. Sure we have had some pretty bad storms but I would sure as hell rather live in Buffalo than to have to put up with hurricanes, tornados, forest fires, mud slides, floods and extremely hot or cold temperatures, as people in other parts of the country routinely have to do. Buffalo may not be perfect, but overall it's a pretty good place to live. And no, I don't work for the Chamber of Commerce, LOL.

I will however say that Toronto is the worst place for snow storms and they cannot handle it no matter how heavy or not. They often have to call in the Army to help during snow storms. Any snow is an emergency in Toronto. You guys in Buffalo take it in stride.
