Song of the week: Nancy Sinatra - These Boots Are Made for Walkin' Although I didn't grow up in this era of music I kind of get the feeling Nancy was only popular due to her name. Don't get me wrong this song is dynamite with all the guitar plucking , booming brass and the visuals that just epitomize "go-go". The vocals are also spot on as she doesn't really go high or low in octaves if at all. It all fits perfectly. So yeah, this single is important, hell it sold a million copies back then. but..... I've heard her other stuff. It's just well, to be blunt, uninspiring. Some say that's blasphemous but what more can I say and admit. Her voice doesn't have a wide range and when you hear her sing something like Bang Bang or How Does That Grab You I just feel like it's drab. That's not to say she didn't have moments of flash. After all she did sing the title to the James Bond film "You Only Live Twice".

Movie: The Avengers For the first time ever since doing this zine I'm promoting a film that hasn't been released. This film is not set for release until May 2010. Over the course of the year I have watched the 2 films that have tied into this. Thor, Iron Man and Captain America. I liked all three in that order. Now the cast itself for the upcoming film will of course have the original stars from the preceding films plus Samuel L Jackson will finally introduce his bit as Nick Fury. I still know very little about what the story is but if the Marvel franchise can stick to the success it had with the films its released recently this should be a decent watch. I only hope that it doesn't try to cram too much action and take away from the plot.

We tell ourselves stories. We weave together different plot lines, wondering if the outcome of the story might be different were we to have done or said something other than what we had done or said, all the while knowing that the various alternative outcomes are just more stories - fictions meant to distract us from what's actually happening. And so we pause from weaving and commence breathing, gently and non-judgmentally saying hello to what is... OMG!!

maddplotter, no, it's not The Vatican. The key is " not recognised as a sovereign state" dita, it's not Trinidad either, that is a known country. As for me and the questions I just pull 'em as to what i think is appealing. They are all questions that were once asked in the actual jeopardy show except for a few I made myself a few months ago. Anyways, I'd rather make them really hard and keep interest instead of making it ridiculously easy like....what is 1 plus 1 and not let anyone have any fun.
