It appears the pages that were there when it was shut down are still there but the index of the Erotic Services is gone and you cannot post a new ad.

The newest ad is Dec 17

You must realize that sites may become dead (the pages are not updated) but the data is not erased. It's just sitting there on the server. I have been to some dead sites that have not been updated in 4 years. Craiglist is HUGE and one day they may get around to erasing those terabytes of data when they need the server space.

Having alot of dead links and 404 not found pages is not good for a site.
Sites often leave content up that is not accessible or current so as not to break links and lose footing in search engines.
