    Finally a decently phrased response.

Lucky you, eh? Now, tell me, please.

Why do we hear of TS beatings from all over the world. Murders. Job discrimination, all the talk? Why? It's a big deal.

Like i asked a guy if he ever got dressed up like a woman and applied for a job interview.

Are you working Chantel? At a regular job?
Are you lucky enough to be totally independent? Are you in the sex industry?
    I am!
    Are you?

Some people, in here, want to act like "fucking nuns" (pardon the pun).

I'm not looking for a fight. I am looking for answers.

    Babe,
    xoxo

...yes i do work part time at a regular job,no im not in the sex industry,i am independant but have struggles like everyone else,i agree any form of violence is completely unacceptable and it should not happen at all but we cant control every persons behaviour in life..i actually could replace the TS in your response with any group of people and it would apply. ive stated my thoughts and will end my participation in this thread here ,,thanks

But, it is a negative stereotype of German women.

        PS: Phil Hartman was awesome.

For the German woman? No one said it was a woman in the video, but they did say bachelorette.

They filmmakers go out of their way, though, to imply that it's obviously a very manly woman. Could even be a CD, now - couldn't it?

        Let's see now.
        1. Make up's all wrong.
        2. Bad wig
        3. Deep voice
        4. Stereotypical sexual deviant
        5. Talking about putting the bottom in severe pain afterwords
        6. Leaving the bottom also with size seven poop chute
        7. He even acts like a man.
        8. The two hosts are gay, or maybe, the one the right is TS. They come odd as gay, to me.

Aye, sounds like that person is a GG, to be sure. NOT!

You can't even put that one together, folks?
No wonder you can't follow this thread. No offense.

        Next clip:

The father goes along with it and acts like he accepts the idea thinking it's just a phase but then when he sees the son is "liking it too much" ( the son is pretty much teasing his dad but still...), but then, the dad shows his final disapproval.

So in light of the dad's last actions i will say it was discriminatory.
        But it starts off okay.

Now let's imagine that there is a young, gender-confused person, somewhere, who happens to comes out like this to his family or parents. Does the dad act respectful at the end of the little clip that we see?

Many TSs know this scene, the parent's reaction was negative (by the end of it).

And EVEN though the dad is correct, in his own way for wanting to protect his son from harm, it's still the child's destiny if THAT is, in fact, the destiny.

Ask yourselves this, and then, PLEASE, respond with a fitting answer - a short one preferably.

Why do many parents, (and it doesn't have to be all parents) reject their own beloved babies just because they say. 'Mom, i'm a girl.' (or 'boy' for F→M)?

Why? Tell me. Where do the parents learn THAT behavior?

        Thanks,

        Babe,

        xoxo

          Hi Chantel,

I am not saying that TGs are the only people discriminated against in society.
I AM saying, though, that ever since television was invented, lots of tv show, movies, cartoons, all started making fun of TGs. They even admit to rewriting Klinger's role in M*A*S*H* to make him into a CD, because it would make it more interesting, that's what it says in the MASH article (link) - not the video clip.

We are usually NEVER the hero, or Rock Star, or Idol, you know?
Oh yea, sometimes we are a harmless Mrs Doubtfire, okay, i agree.
For one Mrs Doubtfire movie, we have 200 other portrayals of TGs in society as psychos, or just laughed at for being dressed in the clothes of the opposite sex, or victims, or criminals, serial killers the list goes on.
And even IF there are a few movies out there that HELP the community, the ones that don't help are the one i AM talking about. Hollywood distributes all that and they control the movie industry - it's their patents.

What did YOU think of The Drew Carey clip i showed, Chantel?
Do you find that funny? I didn't.
          You can laugh at that?

I am glad someone is independent and financially well off to be able to do what you want when you want. Lucky you.
Not everyone has what you have going on, unfortunately. I don't.
          Many others i know, don't
I see them crying on youtube and in support groups. Are they making it up? Just pretending to be evicted and jobless?
Now? ..Why are they evicted and jobless?

And YES i hear everyone say 'TGs are not the only ones! We all have problems!"

Alyssa1 even posted on the board somewhere that TGs have it a lot harder than most people do. Was she lying, too?

          Thanks for the response.

            • I see my mistake.

              Hi Chantel,

I was smoking a doob earlier lol
But, no no, you're right. I made a mistake by adding the Alyssa comment to that post, and the financially independant conmment, too.
I was confusing your post with someone else's - and as i was writing, i got into thinking of another post and i accidentally posted it before really re-reading it over again.
I am just happy that you are/were willing to discuss.

It didn't belong there. And i really do apologize for my error.
But geez, people are so fast to condemn me and call me names. My God.
I don't snap at people, like that, and i have all of you folks to deal with at the same time.

So, i apologize if my post insulted you.

              Babe,

                • This post is for the whole board, especially the people who are giving me such a hard time in this discussion.

I would tell you all of my abuses in life that could maybe explain how some like to describe me. It would be a hell of a lot of long posts, i can tell you that. lol

I won't get into it, but yea...i've been through a lot.

I made my therapist cry during one session. That's how pathetic i am.

This constant bombardment of negative vibes from so many people really hurts, i can say that.

Maybe i am too alone in this world, too often. you have nO idea how this makes me feel. I hope you all got what you wanted with this display of..."love".

Keep it up, you're in the right thread, it seems.
Maybe one day the posts will just STOP.

LOL Maybe i should rename this thread to something like

Tgirlforums.com's most memorable tribute to transsexuals.

They think this stuff is funny and perfectly alright for public television.

So you think Mike Myers and Lorne Miichaels were trying to make TGS/or CDS look bad? This skit had nothing to do with transgenders.

Babe, a bachelorette is a woman.

East German woman have always been stereotyped as big, strong and manly.

You made about 4 or 5 assumptions regarding this video. You gotta stop making assumptions with these videos.

                        • Television shows were already discussed. But i don't mind.

                          This is too inviting.

Here's the FULL VERSION of that Cheers song. Listen for the line, "...and your husband wants to be a girl."

Here's a bar scene that i've already shown. I think it fits.

Cheers probably would have been the same scenario but with different characters, with the very outspoken and mouthy Carla, and the two typically dumbed-down clients of that place Norm and Cliff, even the the bar-boy was played as a dumb country boy. Sam Malone, the ex-football star, all around lady's man with not one but SEVERAL LITTLE BLACK BOOKS containing the names of all of his FEMALE sex partners, was hitting on all the ladies in the bar i'm sure that would have been good for hilarious laughs.
Thepsychiatrist, Dr Kramer, was that his name?...i could imagine him explaining what TGs are to his bar friends like the wise, old, educated owl - but then, as soon as one would get near him, i can also imagine his character shuddering, in shock and trying to get away from the TG. I mean come on, THAT would be the only FUNNY thing to do to get cheap laughs on television.

So, let's imagine Cheers, "the place where everybody knows your name" the place where you were supposed to belong, when we watch this clip.

                          The Story Line:
The guys walk into the local bar and it's Ladies' Night, and it's full of CD/TGs and women.
Then one of them says hello to a sexy bodied TG, but when he sees the face, he says, "Ewwwww."
The audience laughs while Drew looks troubled by it and walks away.

When they get to their table, one of them asks, "Hey, Drew. You notice something?"
Drew says, "Yea, they're all guys."
And the friend exclaims in disbelief, "What!?"
Drew says, "How the heck did this happen?"
The other friend answers Drew's question, "You know?...you're home, sick, today. Your mom has to go to work. You wonder what her panty-hose feel like."
                          Drew looks at him disapprovingly.
The friend says, "I don't know. Why don't you ask one of these freaks".
(Meaning, ask the CDs in the bar why they wear women's clothes.)

Drew's cross-dressing brother and another TG come over to Drew's table and the friend proudly says, "Yea, we're like wallpaper that's almost too much - but not quite."
(That's a Hollywood writer writing that crap. That line shows even a TG actually knocking the TG community. As if to say, 'Even we can see that we don't look very much like women'.)

Drew, feeling uncomfortable in the presence of TGs, stands up and announces to the room full of CDs, "Alright, on to the next bar, fellas. Last one out looks like a man."

Then Drew's taller CD-brother grabs Drew's beer and holds it above her head and says to Drew, "Hey, what are you worried about? You think i'm gonna hold your beer out of reach, like this?"

Drew chuckles, embarrassed, and says, "I'm not gonna jump up for my beer. You might as well just give it to me."
(The joke here is when she doesn't give it to him and then when Drew tries to jump for his beer, he can't reach it because the TG is taller than him. A negative reference to how tall some TGs can be.)

Then one of the friends says, Hey, Drew. We gotta talk. I don't like "this" Wasaw (the name of the bar).
The other guy says, "Hey, none of us do, but these guys have hey have just as much a right to be here, as we do. You know, things change?!"
Then he compares the new Ms Pac man to the old Pacman video game.

Then, a really cute GG, with a nice feminine voice, starts to talk to Drew. He's attracted at first but then he quickly becomes skeptical and asks while touching her throat, "Are you a man?" at which point, she stands up and tells him, "WHAT?! SCREW YOU!" and angrily storms away.
(That message means: You are a pervert for liking men who look like women and i don't want to be near you.)

After she storms away, Drew looks to his two friends at his table and he lowers his voice to mock a how a TG would sound, and he says to them, "Screw you! Did ya hear that? Screw your!
(Meaning, no matter how good they look, they still sound like men.)
                          The audience busts out laughing.

In the next scene, three TGs (one is Drew's CD-brother) go up to the bartender and she politely asks the bartender for three beers.
The bartender puts the beers on the bar and says, "That'll be $6.00 .
The TG says, "You mean $3.00?
He says to the TG, "No way, pal. This counter's for ladies only."
The TG says in an exaggerated low voice, "I may not be a woman but i am a lady."
Drew, then smugly says to his brother, while looking around for approval, "Well, let's not fool ourselves, here. I mean, i could put on a Brown's jacket - doesn't make me a quarter-back."
                          The audience laughs.

She says to Drew, "Drew. You're my brother. Back me up, here."
Drew says, "Look, and don't screw this up, okay? We're finally getting some real women in back in here."
Then Drew sarcastically says to his CD-brother, "Hey, maybe we can have 'What the hell was i dancing with' night on Thursday."
(The TG is visibly insulted but the audience still laughs and applauds the discrimination.)

The TG-brother get angry and points her finger at Drew and says, "Thanks, you backstabbing little snot."
Then she looks at another CD and says, "Come on, Mike. Let's go!" Then she corrects herself, and apologetically says, "I mean, Vicky. I'm sorry. I'm very upset."
                          The audience laughs.

She talks to Drew again, and pointing her finger at him, she says, "You know what? You're a real idiot!"
Drew says, "I can't believe that you're gettin' upset because you can't get a discount on a couple of beers."
She says, it's not about that. It's about being embarrassed by my brother in my own bar."
Drew tells the bartender to transfer his running tab to his CD-brother's tab because it's HIS bar, now.

And people sit at home and laugh at this.
                          Familiarity breed contempt.
