And how about Wayne, taking the time to personally call Brian Mcabe and let him know he made the taxi squad for the olympic team 2 days before the funeral.

All of Canada feels their pain.

Most hockey players are a "Class Act" from the TimBits to the pros. "The Great One" is on a long list of professionals that is made up mostly of hockey players.

I wish his family and loved ones my deepest sympathy. She was much to young to leave us. (And I'm not even Canadian)

I had the priveldge of meeting Wayne and Janet once at a McDonalds in Hamilton while his father was here at the General having heart surgery

He and his wife were pleasent and friendly to everyone and even during his time of pain dealing with his fathers surgery he still took the time to sign autographs however he took no pics and the people that were around were for the most part very respectful

I guess it's hard sometimes when your a celeb having to deal with the most private of issues publically but Wayne definately knows how to cope not once did his smile waver when talking to his fans at the McDonalds here in downtown Hammertown
