Discrimination Hits Home..

So last night was the bathtub race party here in Nanaimo..

So I go to one of our favourite clubs that I've been too over a dozen times before..

My girlfriend Lalani goes through the ID scan first and gets in no problem..

Then it's my turn, the guy at the door knows we go there lots. Yet when he takes my ID he looks puzzled and confused. Then he tells me he can't let me in cuz I don't look like my photo ID (no shit sherlock)..

I'm like WTF dude I come here all the time and I know most of the staff and the owners. He gives me some BS about liquor inspectors and the ID has to match what I look like. Well that's total crap, I know the BCLQB people, most every cop in town and I was a regular at this club (Club 241 Skinner Street Nanaimo)..

SO I said fuck this shit.. and we went to the other club where I'm a VIP..

I felt very discriminated against, and I know the ID thing was bullshit..

I'm going to wait until I talk to my friend that's one of the owners before I totally freak out on their asses..

I like the club cuz it has good music, dance poles and an awesome sound system with a great dance floor..

Perhaps they thought it wasn't safe to have a tranny in the club with all the drunken redneck tourists around. Honestly I don't care and I'm more than aware that it's a primarily straight club. I used to own a nightclub here in town and if they don't straighten this out for me I'm going to pull my support from them and encourage everyone I know (half the town) to not go there..

Wow, that's fucked up. Speaking to one of the owners is probably the best thing to do, as it could prevent this from happening to you, or anyone else again.

Should of been allowed in especially when they know you, it would be a good idea to get your photo updated on your ID just to save hassle in the future.

Maybe I should go update my DL photo so that it's accurate.. lol..

Apparently I'm guilty of jumping to conclusions..

I talked to the manager that I know well and the night before they got stung by the BCLQB and fined $1000 for not checking people's ID properly..

I'm actually happy that I'm the one that's wrong in this case cuz I really love that club.. lol

Well maybe it's all the yummy straight guys, hot girls and the dance poles.. and the music..

So today I get to go deal with motor vehicles and get my DL picture changed..

That should be fun.... NOT!
