Another great thread Shyla....for my money (and there ain't much) The Marix is the bomb. From the effects to the message it's all ground-breaking. Anyone who's committed suicide since hasn't seen it or didn't understand it. Half the ladies around here are living it....you make your own reality, and you can do ANYTHING!!!....you just have to believe!

Yes I have to admit that the effects were up there. The story was strong and deep. The characters ...deeper. The only other movie in it's class would be the original "Star Wars" Trilogy. The concept of the "Hero" (Neo in the Matrix, and Luke Skywalker in Star Wars) is perfect. They both use little know actors to better enhance the story and these characters. (Harrison Ford and Keanu Reeves are the exceptions.) I believe most guys will always rank this Movie in the top 5. But in this group of Hungarian Mobsters, Cuban Drug Smugglers, Force Users, Racists, Fallen Angels and Japanese Horror; the Power of the One does not extend further then number 13 on this list.
