I have always felt that each person can chose to identify themselves as whatever they what. You want to stay as a Transsexual? And you are happy? POWER TO YOU. Your idea and desire will one day be the reality of society. India and Pakistan have both identified Transsexuals as a third sex. Public bathrooms are being opened and installed.

As for the guy issue, you may have heard this before. The problem was not you. He was confused. That's all.
