going to a TS bar/club

I've never been to a TS bar/club before, but am planning to travel to the US/Canada soon.

What should I expect? and what is the usual scene there? is it just drinks/music/dancing (like any other club obviously)? or can one get more ?

transbars are pretty boring, because the ambiance is always dull, most girls are escort and are working, so yeah...
