Well...i have some exciting places to go too:

Go to Argentina...exploring the mountain and the coast....oh...it's Summer overthere!
Can't wait to enjoy the night life in Buenos Aires...learn the tango...try the Argentinian steak...then close the evening with Antonio Banderas lookalike lol.

Then to Egypt....boys hunting of course...I will be all over the place along the Nile lol

Then to South Africa....Cape Town...my dream town...never been there before..... relax at the beach, see the penguin, and get acquainted with the Zulu warriors...hemmm.....

Then back to Toronto for few days,...and get ready to go to Cozumel, Mexico. I will be pampered by a successful entrepreneur from the states for a week or so.
Life is good

In summer I will probably going skiing in Argentina because it is winter there then.

Mama mia...it sounded great...but I changed the itinerary now.

At least 10 people told me it's too dangerous to travel to North Africa and the Middle East...even to South Africa.
So finally, my winter vacation will be in Hawaii
this time is 100% sure since i have bought the tickets and reserved the hotels.
It will be an expensive vacation...but hopefully it will be worth it.

Argentina seems very interesting....you should share your story with all of us if you really get a chance to be there this Summer (or Winter overthere) Crag

I'm currently in New Orleans, Louisiana. It's in 70s degree Fahrenheit most of the time (in the lower or mid 20s degree Celsius). Great place to be as well..especially for the weekend.
Lots of fun things to do in French quarter.
And for those who like elegant, upscale, quiet neighborhood with some good restaurants and hotels...garden district along St.Charles avenue is highly recommended. I stay over there now and love every minute of it

Bom dia do Brasil Tia.

Brazil is amazing, I am in Florian?polis. Speaking Portuguese and having a Brazilian Mother makes getting around easy. The food, the culture and the way of life is like home to me. I was planning on doing more kite-surfing, BUT thunderstorms have made kite-surfing ... a very shocking experience that I would prefer to avoid. So my kite-surfing has been limited. The little I have been able to get in has been nothing short of freedom. Kite-surfing is like sky-boarding and wind surfing at the same time. I love hearing nothing but the wind blowing hard before flying into the air. Unfortunately, if I land it's complete luck and swallowing salt water sucks. The temperature is low 80s during the day and mid to low 70s at night. But the people are as amazing as the country. Very accepting and very sexual. More accepting then Canada and no winter...I love Brazil!

There is one other place I visited in the World that is similar is the Island of Mykonos in Greece.

I've been to Rio, Parati, Vitoria, Sao Paulo, some unspoiled beaches along the way, then to Salvador in Bahia, and finally to Manaus. I went to the deep of the amazon jungle too believe it or not. Instead of going by boat, I chartered a small plane from Manaus to the forest, along with 10 other people. We stayed somewhere in the middle of the jungle for one week.
Spectacular! It's a memory that I will remember forever.

Never been to Florianopolis, and i did not know that you are partly Brazilian, please...please take me with you next time. I'm serious!

the creole culture that is rooted from Haiti is very interesting and different compared to the rest of the states.
People are very friendly and helpful and very musical too. I love them.

The swamp, the food, and the weather and the vegetation really remind me of Indonesia (or Brazil), so i feel instantly at home.
Not to mention the boys...lol.
I won`t talk about them here...otherwise..i will keep going and going and going LOL

I`ve just arrived in Atlanta now. It`s slightly cooler but you still can feel the hospitality of the southern part of US.

A great place for Creole food, culture and lifestyle is a small island off the East Coast of Madagascar. It's called Reunion Island and belongs to France. Very untouched, like New Zealand before Lord of the Rings.

No, The Brazil Nike jerseys are $150 in Canada.
So since I bought them in Bangkok, I thought I would maybe sell them on the streets in Canada.
Maybe $40 each.
They are better quality than the ones I got on the beach in Rio.

It's more like we have been sacking Asia for over 500 years.

Siam used to be a rich and powerful kingdom, known for its gold, power and generosity.
Constant wars with other neighbours like Burma were hard on Siam.
However it was the English and French and really took advantage of the place.
They essentially chopped Laos and Cambodia away from them.
Then the Japanese took advantage of them during the 2nd world war, and next the Americans came along.
The Americans, however, did not take anything but did exert their influence for years.

Over the years much of Thailand's gold has been taken out of the country and their number one commodity is now often imported.
They have laws against removing any Buddhas and other artifacts from the country, since many important ruins have be desecrated with large amounts being removed from the Country. Now it is even illegal to take fake artifacts and mementos from there.

Now the goods and riches are cheap textiles and rice.
We took their riches, now we take advantage of their cheap labour.
