I hate xmas! For those who want to rant, post here. It's too commercial, I got to work long hours, extra days, and the crowds are maddening. I don't drive in the winter, so glad that I don't have to try and find a parking spot at my local mall. One day we will see someone get shot over a parking spot.

The trick is to filter out all the garbage. And remember what is important at this time of year. Yes it's commercial, but Christmas makes some great memories if you are around people that are important to you doing meaningless things, like decorating a tree, baking cookies or just taking time with these people. You don't have to force all the crap of Christmas on yourself, just the parts you like.

I lovee Christmas, it is defiantly my faveee time of the year. Not just because of the presents, awsomee food, and great times with friends and families what relii gets me is that even if only for a day, on christmass day people seem to see the brighter side of life, adults get a bit of their nievity and silliness back ( christmas themed knitted sweaters ppl lolzz ) and everyone generaly had good intentions in their hearts even if only for one day : )

I completely agree the commercial part of Christmas is bullshit.
I don't want anything under the tree everyone keeps asking me what I want, I just want people to be happy and stop judging others. And learn what respect is.

My family isn't understanding. My mom, dad (sometimes) and my little brother who is 7 I am glad to be home for xmas the other two I don't care if they say a word to me til I leave in January.

They may be at the age of understanding but my brother is 7 and he goes to school the first week and it was show and tell and they were all in a circle talking about each childrens family and when it got to my little brother he was like I have a mom, dad, two brothers and kind of a sister

Everyone is outside putting the lights up right now and I'm sitting in the house having a smoke, rum n' egg nog. And hoping that my Christmas spirt comes back, because I really don't want to be home anymore, since this isn't home for me.

Christmas is supposed to bring everyone together, in my house Christmas brings me further apart it's always been the case.

dont worry kiddo just make the best of it and cherish the time you spend together,i know its a tough situation but it cant be easy for anybody.there losing a son and gaining a daughter so its clear you all will go through your ups and downs and the feeling out proccess takes time just show alittle patience and respect your family because most of us dont have one.i lost my dad 15 years ago and my mom almost a decade ago and i miss them every minute of the day especially around the holidays.being as i have a child that is 6 years older then you allows me to see both sides with considerable knowledge so believe me when i say patience is a virtue.i talked with your mom on the phone as you know i think shes a very nice lady who wants to see you stay on the right track.i have faith in you kiddo,show them your love open your heart and let the cards fall where they may,youll be ok.

I understand completely. I don't know what I would do without my family, they mean everything to me. As much as half of them don't understand and piss me off most days. But they are family and I am glad to be home, but I can't wait to leave.

By the way Lisa, mom really appriciated the phone call she feels that no one is here to help me and when she heard you on the phone she felt like the sky opened up Love you momma.

I am just laughing now because my grandmother lives across the road and was wondering why I haven't visited since I came home and also wondering where I am since she hasn't seen me at all. And dad broke the news .. hahaha. Grammie had no sweet clue. I don't have to go down for Christmas Eve this year I get to stay home have a bottle of red wine with mom and laugh at the bullshit. Seems like it's a new tradition after the past three years.
