Armed forces may cancel Free Viagra and Transgender Surgeries for Troops

Once again great use of my tax dollars.

Canada, the USA and Australia all give their troops Viagra like candy.
They feel it keeps their troops up and ready for battle.

Last I heard two soldiers recently got court marshaled for having sex while seeing action.
(action in action haha)
So if you are not supposed have sex in battle, whats the deal?

The transgender surgeries, I do not understand either.
How does that help you defend the country?
Just like viagra, these things mainly have to do with sexuality.

So you take a year or so off to have surgery at my expense?
This is a personal decision.
Of course they are worried that not giving free surgeries will be found a human rights violation.
With this logic I should be able to say paying so much, or any, tax is a human rights violation.

You get paid, you should be out there saving my ass.
No one forced anyone to join the army in Canada.

We pay way too much tax.
If they are not going to give me free Viagra and Transgender surgery, then why should the armed forces get it?
It makes no sense, I am the one paying all the tax and everyone else gets the benefits.

To me I say everyone should get it free, or no one.


Just another boon for the Pharmaceutical companies.
Don't smoke pot, but take all these pills, because we cannot patent marijuana.
Pot could replace half the pills out there.



But for now, if you want free surgery, join the army!
I already know one Tranny that got her surgery in the Army.

I'm sorry.. but I had the option of the free system..

I firmly believe it's a joke..

Especially here on the west coast..

The surgeons are only in Toronto and Montreal..

it also takes 2-3 years if you go the "free" route in British Columbia..

I pay cash.. and I know lots of other girls that pay cash too..

Especially out here..

I have to pay for my shrink too.. back east you don't..

There's only a couple of qualified Dr.'s out here and both in Vancouver..

It's costing me tens of thousands and a lost income of an equivalent amount..

I get no handouts and pay full price for all my meds..

They feel it boosts confidence of soldiers because they can get a boner.

What a rip off! Where are my blue pills and fun bags? I spent nine years in the Armed Forces (Canadian) and not once was I offered Viagra. Nor did I ever hear of anyone ever getting (or wanting) "Transgender Surgeries". Then again this was back in the 80's (yeah I am getting old) and I was Navy. We were more worried about them putting saltpeter in the corned beef.

The first I heard of Viagra being handed out was during the Gulf war. I thought it was stupid then and still think so. And while the forces does offer some excellent medical benefits, I have to agree that SRS and similar should fall outside the range of services provided. Changing ones gender or getting breast implants etc. does nothing in terms of helping achieve the mission (protect the Nation and its interests abroad).

I agree, it is a waste of tax payer's money.

Ya, in the old days the government gave everyone Saltpeter to keep the urges down.

Now days you get Viagra, I wonder if they still use the Saltpeter?
