retouched or not retouched

A few days ago, I did a photoshoot in Edmonton. The pictures are going to be great. There is going to be a new video for my site too. My web designer is going to change the look of my site to keep it current. I'm going to post two pictures here. The first I got back from the web designer last night. The second is straight out of the camera and is not retouched in any way. All I did was to make it smaller so I could post it here.

Which do you prefer?

I love your face babe, but on the untouched you have alot of duey glow so it`s hard to see your face.
I would go with the retouched because you have a clearer picture.

Retouched pictures look to Fake - i want to see what someone looks like untouched and not surprised when you see them and they look different.

Kissingbandit - Thanks for your opinion. The debate of whether to photoshop or not to photoshop will probably continue forever. I settled the issue for myself years ago and do not think I will revisit the issue. These are promotional pictures and I will put a promotional campaign together that is in line with industry standards. However, to show that I look like my pictures, I always post some video footage on my site. That way, people can compare the video image with the pictures and see that, yes, this girl really does look like that. If clients are of an opinion similar to yours and insist on seeing unretouched pictures, they should stop reading magazines and watching movies. They should ignore placcards and signs or any other form of advertising. That is there prerogative. My prerogative is to put a good promotional campaign together.

By posting the untouched photo, I wanted to show that I do look like my pictures and that my beauty is natural. But to suggest that I post unretouched photos on my website is unreasonable.

Some retouching always needed

Strobe lights or similar are very harsh and modern lenses pick up any imperfections on the skin and exaggerate them. Therefrore, some retoucng is always needed but it should not veer away from reality.

un touched shows what you will see when someone comes in.
I dont even think you need the untouched one. You are beauty !
But touched photos are always good, just cos of that extra "OOMMMF".

Obviously both are stunning, they're pictures of Sunshine.

I think you'd probably look sexy under any circumstances.
The first one has a bit of spontaneity, which is always nice.
The second one, however, is va va va voom, which is makes nice seem a bit tame.
You should be proud of both.
By the way, you should feature that beautiful derriere more often.

Thanks everybody for your input.

I am sure the pictures are going to be very good. I haven't seen them all. There are over 200 pictures and 24 video files. I appreciate everyone's comments. It dawns on me that the photographers are big fans of raw pics. They want the art to speak for itself. But to me, that isn't the only purpose of a picture. There is also the intended use of the picture. From that perspective, the picture is just a tool to do a job. it isn't the job in itself.
