Camera Tips (for us girls who use the mirror)

So, as you've all probably noticed, I take my own photos. The quality is always fairly low... any tips on taking your own photos?

If you have a digital camera, cell phone, tablet there should be a function on it with a timer so that you can preset the amount of time you need to prepare yourself for the camera to take the shot and you can always find places to set the device down to see what angles work best let alone the lighting and such. Taking a photo with a like a light bulb or lit lamp in the shot isn't always good as thigns can look pasty. Taking a photo in a dim lit area or with the light coming from the side can give a shadowy effect. Through experience though most camera, phones etc etc should give you option to take a picture that suits the environment....i.e indoor ...outdoor...night shot.....portrait to give you the best photo possible. It's all relative though when it come to photos. What you may think is bad others may think is fabulous.

Use a high quality camera on the fastest shutter speed for sports and motion if you are wanting to shoot in a mirror..

Make sure you have enough light that you do not need the flash..

Hold still.. lol.. the hard part..

My HTC Desire HD android takes amazing pictures and has great image stabilization..

My Nikon camera takes even better photos..

I hate those digital-camera-into-the-mirror photos. I guess they show the basic "goods" OK but they really have no class. Your angles are limited and artistically they suck! Many are taken in bathrooms and show the toilet and other unappetizing elements.
At least have a friend shoot you. Use daylight where possble or get someone who knows what they are doing with a camera and lights to take some decent pix. It may cost you some very small change but it's more professional looking.

Really.. Agree that the toilet isn't my thing but some guys like it.. lol..

Anyhow.. I'm into full body shots and trying to get a good look..

Not all girls that do mirror shots are trashy BTW.. or without class..

These basic cell phone pics (mine are all 8MP) are great for showing the real goods with no edits..

Some people have their pics photo shopped to hell and they do not look like them in person..

Other than my bedroom being in it's typical state there's nothing wrong with this pic..

Bit over exposed maybe.. And it's a mirror shot..

Mind you I have lots of big mirrors in the house..
