    General Comments:
This hotel has amazing location. Close to many 24hr eats and near all the good shopping. Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Omega are directly in the hotel. I had a bit of an issue with the temperature and I always feel cold. The secure elevators can be an issue as you have to meet clients at the elevators but with all the traffic in the lobby it's not noticable if you are discreet about it. DO NOT GO TO THE LOBBY in you hooker wear,,,common sense. Also, internet is not included and you must pay daily. A credit card is required to check in.

Next time go to the Century Plaza and get a 1bdrm king suite for $150/night..

      It's a 800 Sq ft apartment..

The fairmont is over priced.. OMG..

Wall center is better too at $250/night..

Overall the best hotel program is Priorityclub.com.
Best hotels, locations and benefits worldwide and Canada.
They are Intercontinental, Crowne plaza, holiday inns, candlewood.

The Intercontinental locations are very good and better than the Fairmont, in my opinion.
In Toronto there is two Intercontinentals that are very good, the one on Bloor is beautiful.

The Intercontinental in Montreal is fantastic.

You may think holiday inns are normal, but they all have deluxe suites, such as jacuzzi, honeymoon, executive etc.
I often get upgraded to these rooms for free as a platinum member, and many are as good as any 5 star suite.
Even at the Holiday Inn expresses, they have these suites.

In Vancouver they don't have an Intercontinental, but they use to have a Crowne Plaza in the old Georgia hotel.
Now they don't have too many high end properties but the Holiday Inn dowtown on Howe is actually very good.
The lobby and area isn't the best but some of the rooms are good and cheap.
I have been upgraded to this king parlour suite and it is available for only around $200 too.

Look at these upgrades I got in Thailand recently.

          http://tgirlforums.com/yabbse/showth...ht=holiday+inn

On top of this I get points to use for free nights.

Next best for Canada is Delta Hotels with their priviledges program.
Problem is they are only in Canada.

Fairmont is nice but their hotels are generally old and stuffy and they lack locations.

              My preference

I agree with Craig - Priority club is the best program. When I travel, I usually stay in Holiday Inn. The hotels are clean, many are pet friendly, there is no problem with clients, the rooms are good and, if you become a platinum member (I was upgraded because I use hotels alot), you are often upgraded to a better room. Most of all, the price is right.

I also have a membership with the Fairmont club called Presiden't club. It gives you free calls and free internet. I never use it enough to know what else I would get with frequent use. The one time I use the Fairmont is in Winnipeg. I have trouble finding a pet friendly hotel downtown. The Fairmont is reasonably priced, clean, comfortable, pet-friendly, discreet for clients. I recomend it.

I don't stay in dives because I want a clean room. I don't stay in expensive hotels because it is too expensive for what I get out of it - I'm not on vacation, I'm working. However, I think most clients appreciate it if the room is clean and the hotel is nice. Holiday Inn is a good enough quality and it's just a little more expensive than a motel. Personally, I'd rather spend my money on clothes than on hotel rooms. When I travel, I want as little stress as possible. I don't want a huge hotel bill waiting for me. Mostly, I'd rather stay at home and avoid hotels altogether. That's why I limit the number of trips I make.

I admire how frugal you are, despite likely being able to afford as many expensive hotels as you want you still decide to choose the Holiday Inn. It's responsible of you to manage your business that way.. I used to work out of hotels a lot and have to agree that the Holiday Inn is inexpensive and reliable - great for work.

I would have to agree that staying at hotels such as the Days Inn seems like a good idea. Until I learnt a valuable lesson on this trip. 2 clients straight out told me that they do not feel comfortable at those hotels. Both explained that they if the girl is not staying somewhere nice, they will not bother to show. I have to admit this shocked me a little at first, but then I realized that my no-show rate has dropped to zero since Vancouver. One guy from Florida told me in Vancouver that if he walked into the hotel and it was not as nice as it was...he would have walked right out. Another client told me the exact samething here in Edmonton today.

So yes, they get the job done...that I agree, but the money you are spending also goes into the client experience. If you look at some of the top companies in the world what is common? A certain quality of service and materials used for the job. These are always top notch.

I am not putting down anyones choices of hotels or otherwise. Please don't misread what I have wrote. I am just explaining what I have been told by clients.

It's not just being frugal, Intercontinental is the top hotel company in the world.
They also have some of the nicest hotels in the world.
Intercontinental, crowne plaza, holiday inns, candlewood suites.

Most big cities have Intercontinental hotels which are better than most 4-5 star hotels.
The Intercontinental on Bloor in Toronto is far better than most hotels in Toronto and alot cheaper than the fairmont.
I have also stayed at the Intercontinental on Front st. in toronto for much cheaper than the fairmont too.

When you go to smaller places, holiday inns and holiday in expresses are usually the best hotels in these smaller towns.
Also many times the 3.5 star holiday inn properties are much nicer than some so-called 4 star hotels.

In Montreal i have done many photoshoots at the holiday inn express on Reve leveques because it is very nice one bedroom suites. It used to be condos.
The Intercontinental in Old Montreal is one of the nicest hotels in town.

As a platinum member i get upgraded to suites all the time while only paying the regular rate.
Last year I discovered you can actually just buy a platinum membership by buying 60000 points.
There is many benefits including 2pm checkouts and free internet and more.

The other thing is I never have to purchase on Expedia, because their rates are exactly the same always.
So I just go to their website and book which is very convenient, and i never feel like I got a bad deal.
I belong to all the hotel programs and priorityclub.com is by far the best.
On top of it all Intercontinental hotels has an Ambassador club that gives benefits on top of platinum.
                    Nothing can touch these guys.

                      My helpful hints

I use www.hotels.com. I get really good deals on this web site.

I have also stayed at a small boutique Hotel called Moda several times. On the corner of Smithe and Seymour. Great little place. No security called needed. Great rooms at a great price. They do have a one bedroom suite but I don't know the price and have not ever stayed in it!

Hope this helps any of you woman!
