We have Calpernia Addams, but why is it we aren't equal, not just in acceptance, but why is it I can never see a transgendered movie star or music artist? Except, of course, my personal favorite, MARILYN MANSON (and yes, I am aware he's fully male)

There is many in the music industry.

There are a lot of TS that don't want to go out and make a spectacle of themselves as a shemale.
They quietly go about their transition and barely anyone really knows.

Not all become escorts and porn stars, although that seems to be the popular route.
If you are a man and you really want to be a girl, the best way is low key.
Low key and regular is what describes most women, so to be most like women you don't want to make a spectacle out of it.

The most successful transsexuals are the ones that are seamless and know one knows.
They don't scream about Transgender rights or anything like that, they become a woman as fast as they can and do it.
A TS that really really wants to become a woman wont' be trying to enter Miss Universe, she will be living life as a regular girl.

So I would say there is lots of transgender actors out there, u just don't know about them.

However you must also consider that there is only a small few that become superstars.
Since the transgender population is extremely small compared to the total of society, the odds are pretty low.

You fall short of saying it is discrimination, it is not discrimination.
It is odds and the majority, it has absolutely nothing to do with acceptance.
Most TS are in transition not meaning to stay that way.

Superstars are those that have huge mass appeal, no TG will ever appeal to the masses enough to be one.
Only a TG that only identified as a woman could become a superstar.
But since they are now a WOMAN, they are not transgendered anymore.
I wish everyone would stop treating Transgenders as a third sex, it is not, it is a state of transition.

don't get me wrong, I debate vaginoplasty all the time.
