I tried not once, but TWICE to visit with Amber, who advertises in EYE Magazine.
On Thursday, I called Amber before 9pm, and was told that she could see me at 10. She said that she was in the Church and Bloor area, and to call from there.
I wasted an hour wandering around downtown, and called from the corner. She answered and told me that she wasn't quite ready, and asked if I could give her another 10 - 15 minutes. I happily obliged, and even gave her 25 minutes, calling again at 10:25 or so. I was given her building's address (which was actually closer to where my destination had originated than Bloor and Church) and the buzzer code needed to get in. When I got there, I buzzed twice and got no answer.
The nearest payphone to her building is set up for emergency use only (ie: operator-assisted and 911 calls only), so it took me a while to find another. At aproximately 10:45, I called her and got no answer.
I figured I had better call to let her know not to expect me, because I had the feeling I was getting the runaround, but offered the benefit of the doubt. (maybe she was in the shower?) When I called from the subway closest to me at aproximately 11:25, she finally answered the phone, and sounded out of it. I explained that I was there, and that she didn't answer and she didn't bother to explain OR apologize, which was all I was looking for. "What would you like me to do about it?" was her sarcastic reply. Very unprofessional.
After Thursday night's fiasco, I gave her the benefit of the doubt, and arranged another session. I was still given no explaination as to why I was stood up on my prior effort, but I was willing to put that behind me and try to be able to give a glowing review tonight. That was not to be.
I called WELL in advance, at aproximately 4pm, and asked if we'd be able to set up an appointment for sometime around 9:30. She said that she remembered me and that she was available, and to call at 9 to confirm.
9pm arrived, and I called and recieved no answer. I left a message stating that I had a few minutes left in my store, and that she could call me back to confirm our date. I waited aproximately 10 minutes, and called again to tell her that I had to visit a nearby ATM and that I would call from a payphone nearby. Called from the payphone at 9:30, and recieved no answer. Again, I was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt, and foolishly wandered around Yonge St. for about an hour. I called from a few payphones, but never reached her.
Finally, I went back to my store, and called from there again. No answer, so I gave up AGAIN and went home.
If anyone is considering seeing this highly unprofessional woman, I would STRONGLY recomend saving your money and spending it elsewhere. There are many other ladies in this neighbourhood.

Might as well add my own observations re: AMBER. I had called her many times on many different occasions and was never able to get through to her. Most of the calls were from my hotel in Toronto but did call her twice from home - once many months ago from home just looking for general info. - then more recently to ask her if there was a "best" time to call her to make an appointment to see her.
