Re:Amber Review (well... almost)
I completely agree, it can be unbelievably frustrating to spend time trying to hook up an appointment with an SP, to take time out of your day, sometimes you workday...and to have your expectations and desires come crashing down to nothing after being rudely stood up.
It's inexcusable, especially if the SP isn't at the least apologetic and trying to make up for it.
Having said that, it may not be excusable but it is explainable. There are a lot of factors that cause so many girls to be moody or occasionally bitchy or to seem self absorbed.
Firstly, its a tough job. Yes I agree professionalism is required and if you make the choice to be a service provider you should be prepared to deal with the enviroment but...I think we can all agree in terms of professions the stress and bs of this industry is probably second to none. Even the Hetero working girls are often prey to their bad days in this industry.
Secondly, the issue of hormones, or having had to deal with recent cosmetic surgery, or trying to plan for the expense of upcoming surgery ect.
Most important, I think (and these are all merely my humble opinions)...let's try to understand how difficult a life choice being Transgendered can be, even in a 'relatively' open minded city like Toronto. We T-girl lovers and admirers are a minority who had the courage to approach our sexuality openly and not be restricted by standard definitions. Even with that in mind, I would bet most if not all of us don't openly and freely discuss our preferences, experiences and desires. Imagine what its like for Shemales. It is all but impossible for many of them to choose almost any job or career that would be available to any other human, male or female, gay or straight.
Far too many in our society see a TV or TG person as a novelty or even a freak.
I have to assume there are days when that underlying lack of acceptance and feeling like the world is ok with you can be quite alienating.
Having said that, damn it, don't take that out on the people who are actually ok with your choices and want your company and are even willing to pay for the privilege !
My humble couple of cents...
