So I'm headed to Toronto for the 1st time in my life
Hope to see you while you're here Wendy CN Tower is an interesting experience. Especially if you decide to do the "edge-walk". And don't forget the pemeal bacon sandwiches at the St. Lawrence market on Sat Crag . Whatever you decide to do Wendy, I'm sure you'll have fun

MC
pemeal bacon? what's that?
And if you want to be sure to see me - be at Goodhandy's August 2nd! I'll be difficult to miss LOL
I guess you have never had hot dogs in Montreal, steamed or grilled!!!!!!!!!
Hot Dogs in Montreal are probably ok but who ever gets to them, Montreal is known for so much more.
Poutine
Smoked meats
St Hubert Chicken.
and much more.
I have tried a lot of Dogs and Toronto is among the best.
Anything I should make sure I see while there? Besides Goodhandy's that is
Canada is a lot cleaner than the States. More money is spent on public stuff. Like, well, public transit.
Anyway, you could and should hit Church St. Further up from Goodhandys.
And, too, Yonge St.
Queen St. is a pretty cool and happening place.
If ya like to shop, well, get on the subway. Head North. To Yorkdale -- and Yorkdale Mall.

Better be a good mall... I'm a NJ chick -- we know good malls

Canada can't hold a candle to the USA in shopping for anything.
Our prices and selection are just plain inferior.
We also don't have outlet malls of the same calibur.
However looking around Toronto, you will find styles and items unique to Canada.
Unfortunately you probably won't find that in a mall.
Yonge and Bloor st. shops may be more unique.
Of course the Eaton center and Yorkdale mall are great, as far as malls go.
The Bay is one department store worth checking out in Downtown Toronto.
This is a High End Canadian chain that is not in USA.
(Although Americans just bought it.)
It is also a historical location known for it's window dressing and in store decorations.
To find more uniquely Canadian stuff this is a good choice.
There is other Bay's but the one downtown is a landmark.
