  • transsexual athletic games

I live in a small town so I don't have much association with tgirls unfortunately. But from what I've read many transsexuals are left out of sports at many levels. I had an idea, not sure if its a good idea or not, so please tell me what you think. What if there was a transsexual games? Transsexuals compete in athletic events against other transsexuals. Team events and individual events. A chance to get together in the spirit of sport, competition and fun. Maybe someday the best transsexual athletes in the world could compete against each other. Let me know what you think and if you have any ideas to add. Have a great day everyone!

I don't think they are left out per se, they are not interested for the most part.
Transsexuals for the most part want to be girly girls, they are not trying to be tom boys.
Girls do not gravitate to sport the way men do, some are interested but the overall uptake is not there because many girls have other interests. More often they are becoming cheerleaders and joining different types of social clubs. They generally enjoy less athletic activities.

The other problem is it is not fair for TS to compete against girls due to the difference in strength and stamina. TS do not want to compete against men for many reasons.
They could compete against each other but there is simply not enough of them interested.

There is some athletic TS but that is not the goal of most tgirls.
Sooner or later there will probably be some blow out because a TS wants to compete against other women in sports. I think this is unfair but it will probably happen.
Personally i think letting TS into female beauty pageants is unfair to women too, while I agree TS are women, I do not think they can fairly compete against women.

I've skied, rollerbladed and other stuff with TS but you won't see them in team sports any time soon.
Maybe in Thailand but in that country there is enough TS interested in sports to make it worth while.

I think a laundry list of questions and realities would need to be addressed for TS athletes to compete with born male and female athletes.

I think most of the issues would relate to the M2F TS athletes. The first and obvious question is, would it be fair? Because a person was born a male, would this give that person an advantage physically? Is the TS on hormone therapy? Are these hormones "performance enhancing"? Could the athlete pass the rigiorous drug testing of the IOC? Obviously the list of questions would be a long list. I believe golf has already seen its first TS athlete. Granted golf is far less a physical sport than something like track or basketball, and more learned/developed skill. There would have to be a number of things ensure that the playing field was level among athletes.

As far as the gender neutral sports (which are usually at the professional level) I`ve got no issue with a TS competing as long as the playing field is the same. None of the lowering of standards that we`ve seen with the military in its attempt to integrate women into more combat oriented roles. One standard.
