One day, I had a psycho who threatened to be violent if he didn't get what he wants. I said to him with a calm voice "Sir, please avail yourself". At the back of my mind were the numerous security cameras in the building entrance and the two security guys.

If what happened was a set up, then the operation was a total failure from the planning phase and would tell a lot about the quality of the brains behind it, if there were any! You see, sometime people confuse the muscle bulk with the brain bulk and while the former can be increased with workout/steroids the latter is a gift! And you are a gifted girl!

I am sad to hear that this happened to you and I am happy you are ok. I know this might be a strange question, but how is our dog doing? It sound like he was doing his job and did it well but my concern is that this must have upset him too. Dogs can be more sensitive then we know. Keep your eye on him, after an aggressive attack like this a dog can change his attitudes towards people and other animals. Give him lots of love.

I totally agree, my first Rottweiler was court ordered to be destroyed for that exact reason, in defending me, his temperament changed to HIGHLY defensive and he became dangerous. Zeus, is very different. He has a kill word. His temperament is completely under control, due to the separation between his calm side and his attack side.

Love the new addition - he looks very cute and cuddly.....for now. If anything like this happens again, the attacker will leave....but probably in several small, separate pieces. A dog that is well-bonded with its owner will do ANYTHING to protect them, and will not stop until the threat has been neutralized - non-dog people just don't get that. My malamute wears a muzzle in the off-leash parks, as she has a 'record' - another owner came running up behind me, yelling at me (apparently my other dog left a present that I didn't pick up - I was completely oblivious to the transgression) - my girl reacted instantly, and in less than 5 seconds, did $4,000 damage to her 75lb dog. Animal services issued a ticket, but privately assured me that they understood she was just protecting me. She has since met the same dog and completely ignored it - it's all about context with dogs.If people think they can take on a dog 'cos they're bigger/heavier/whatever, well, they'll learn.........

The thing about the rottweiler....it's a very dangerous dog. Not because of it's reputation. But because of the raw power behind this animal. Rottweilers have extremely high pain tolerance. His bite is twice as powerful as a Pitbull and much smarter. This is a working class dog that is focused on the job at hand. And only the job at hand..his determination is off the charts. So, when a Rottweiler goes into protect mode, you have an animal that has 1 thing on his mind...Protect. He feels no pain, and will keep coming at you...over and over again with tremendous power until you stop, he's dead or you're dead.

I saw a calm 6 month old Doberman Shepard Mix at the SPCA today....he won my heart and that dog deserves a good home.
