  • Hotel Outdoor Parking

Hi everyone. It's been a long time since I've posted but then again, I haven't been online much over the past several minths. Anyway, I'm making a trip again to toronto and I have a dilemna. I have a pickup truck that is too tall to fit in a ramp so I will need an outdoor parking lot real close to a Hotel. I know the Delta Chelsea has a lot very close but is there any others? I'd like to stay at a different Hotel this time if possible. Thanks for any information you can provide. Rob

Of course if you don't want to stay downtown your options are many, but you probably know that.
Also you can park at a subway station and take the train over to your hotel.

I would say of all the major hotels downtown, the Delta does have the most convenient nearby lot.
Most of the other ones are underground or parkades nearby.

As you go further east from Yonge street the hotels aren't the greatest but some have lots nearby such as all the ones on church st. There is that big one that used to be RCMP headquarters which I here is pretty nice, the Grand hotel, lots of parking near there.
Neighbourhood worse but no where downtown at night is much better anyway. Don't stay at the econo suites or whatever there it is sandwiched by some really seedy building. Also south of there about 5 blocks west of Goodhandys is the Holiday Inn express which I think has some outdoor parking. I think I stayed at the Quality Inn around there somewhere too that had outdoor parking.
The Novotel on Esplanade has parking right there and is a nice place.
The Metropolitan has outdoor parking next to it.
That Courtyard hotel right on Yonge st. actually has all outdoor parking only in the back.

If you go over by the Sutton place or up to Bloor and Yorkville there is more open space and parking up there.

That being said, most decent hotels can park your truck for you if you ask.
The big ones like the Sheraton, hilton, intercontinental, anything 4-5 star should be able to park your truck.

    Have fun.

Hotel parking rates are ridiculous, $25-$30 per night at some of the more expensive ones.

That was about the parking rate the last time I stayed at the Sheraton Center Toronto.
I heard it was cheaper across the street underground at city hall,
it turned out to be more expensive than the hotel.
