  • Long-Running Script

Anyone else having a problem with this site working very SLOW. You get an error message saying that tgirlforums.com is not responding due to a long running script? It's not my computer because I tried another one and had the same problem.

It's normal for American forum members to experience a little bit of slow down.

    The NAS is watching you...

That is an Internet Explorer only problem, I believe.
It is probably your internet connection or the server could have a slow period.
However it is actually a problem on your side, that may be complicated by other things.
Whenever it says a slow running script, it means a script on your machine(s)
Probably the script is slow to download, not run.

If both devices you tried are using IE, it may be due to common configuration between devices.

As I have said Chrome works the best by far on the forum.

As usual Crag you were right on. I really like IE because I am so accustomed to using it and have no problems with most sites most of the time. Oh well, thanks for your help Oh Master of the Computer.

I added Ray to the exceptions list
He is still subject to extra screening due to his nationality tho.

I must be getting to that age where it's too much pain to learn new stuff. Bought a macbook Air, I never even use it. I hate when I download something and have no idea where it went. LOL

Ray, you can also try Google Chrome, I use their "incognito" window, for obvious reasons and it is very smooth.

On a Mac, downloads automatically go to the "downloads" folder found on the Finder sidebar window and in the dock (bottom bar) ... just hover your mouse over it to see which one it is.

But it's very easy to change things to your own personal preference, by poking around in System Preferences which is also in the dock at the bottom. You can make an alias of a folder for a quick link to it, I believe in Windoze it's called a "shortcut".

Safari used to be the scourge of my life.
Recently Safari is quite good, historically Safari sux shit.

A couple years ago Safari was the worst of the top browsers on the internet.
It worked fine for basic browsing, but any type of web application or complicated site it didn't work right.
This was when Microsoft still supported IE for the Mac, so Apple had no motivation to fix Safari.
Once Microsoft stopped making IE for Mac, Apple had to quickly make Safari better.

Apple products are great for consumers but they alway make life extremely difficult for Corporate IT departments.

Yeah, until it becomes misconfigured, then good luck!

Thanks for the tips Locomotion. Who am I kidding, I bought it for quick access to porn. Now that i have the Ipad mini. (Iporn Pad) I rarely need it for actual computer stuff.
