Online pornography to be blocked by default, British PM announces
Most households in the UK will have pornography blocked by their internet provider unless they choose to receive it, David Cameron has announced.
In addition, the prime minister said possessing online pornography depicting rape would become illegal in England and Wales - in line with Scotland.
Mr Cameron warned in a speech that access to online pornography was "corroding childhood".

Shouldn't it be porn is turned on until we call and have it turned off.
This is retarded, and you know Harper will queue this law right up.
What ever happened to parents doing their job?
Software is available and comes with many services.
You can password protect a computer and devices in a multitude of ways.
I am totally against my tax dollars being used for the government to become a Nanny state.
Soon all responsibility for children will be in the hands of the government and parents can just live it up with no worries.
Drug our kids, put them in daycares, leave them with babysitters.
When do parents have to take responsibility?
Why do tax payers have to pay for parents negligence and selfishness.
Everyone is using "Would someone please think of the children" to push their moral views ahead.
You don't like porn, you don't like your kids seeing porn, then you should block it yourself.
My parents were successful in keeping me from accessing most things they didn't want me to.
If you leave a kid alone with a computer and the internet and no protection or rules, what do you think will happen?
Sheltering children from everything does not prepare them from the real world.
Children should not be molested but why do they need to be hidden from sex or breasts?
Chances are they will be more vulnerable because they are all drugged and naive.
Parents need to start taking charge of their children and stop passing the buck.
In the end one child has no more rights than one adult, but they make think otherwise.
This isn't that much different than the old days.
If dad chose to leave his nudie magazines around without locking them up who was responsible if the kids get into them.
In the old days the parent was responsible.
How is the government or anyone else responsible if parents allow the playboys to be left unguarded.
So now if you phone and ask your provider to unblock you from porn, will you get added to some list of weirdos for the government to investigate further?
We need to take our stand on this one if it comes to Canada, hopefully it doesn't pass in the UK.
I doubt this would ever go thru in the USA, their porn is a huge right.
