  • Photo protection

I'm pretty sure that there is no way to totally safeguard photos unless you place a copyright or watermark on the photo but even then I know that there are methods to remove these said things. Nonetheless if anyone has any ideas as to how to securely protect images I'd love to hear it.

Reason I am asking is I want to start a new thread thats a spin off of what I have going on now but am worrisome that what is posted could be used in other sites like this one.

Don't get me wrong. I\m sure girls wouldn't mind more exposure and awareness but what wouldn't be cool is doing something that say I or another member created and then having someone here take the photo and then post it up elsewhere claiming it was theirs.

Its bad enough girls here and elsewhere have their pictures used by other people and even more so having those who took the photos even claiming that they are the one portrayed in the image.

    Any help would be appreciated.

It is not possible to protect images you put on a web page.
You can put script to try to protect it but it is really just not effective and just plain annoying.

Even if you could stop someone from downloading an image, then they wouldn't be able to see it in the first place. If you can see an image in a webpage, you have downloaded it to your computer already.
Plus if all else fails you can make a screen shot of it.

It's not the technology but the people you need to fix.
A certain element will always break the law no matter what you do.
Computers and websites don't commit copyright crimes, people do.

Impossible to protect a image other than with expensive lawyers going after everyone

The best thing would be to get a projector, book a large room and invite members to a screening of the pix. ) Maybe you could even charge admission. Of course, they would have to park their iPhones at the door since they are also cameras.
