Great pic Tia. Only problem with it is that I didn't take it. As far as your question, I believe that most men who transition to female or women that transition to men, do so because they honestly feel they were born in the wrong body. I give all transgendered people a lot of credit for having the guts to make the change.

I have read your blog and if I understood you correctly, what you mean by the word "transition" is taking active measures (hormones and surgeries) to achieve a "complete" resemblance to genetic girls. The reason I am saying this is that the line of transition is a long one and any transgender person has already started their transition once they started to face society with their new gender.

If that is the case, I think the reason that the majority of girls pursue active measures (hormones, surgeries) at some point is the fact that their testosterone on the long run will produce undesirable effects. The more they are subjected to the harmful effects of "excessive" testosterone, the more there bodies will suffer and they will become less acceptable in society.

For some girls, these active measures (hormones) are necessity to downsize their muscles, reshape their bodies etc. and for others it is mainly to refine their features only. Surgeries are a bit different! Some surgeries are necessities and some are not!

One of the most interesting things that I would disagree with you about though is the ultimate goal of transition which is a personal choice for each of us. I don't support the idea that we (t-gilrs) should work very hard on our bodies to achieve "complete" resemblance of genetic girls. There are many reasons for that:

First and foremost, we would never achieve a "complete" resemblance to genetic girls unless our transition started before puberty. Once, testosterone kicks in our bodies, it starts to shape our skeletal structure in a different way. Take the Asian t-girls for example. They are perceived to be more passable on average in western societies. To a western tourist visiting Thailand for example, an average Thai lady boy is very passable, because they are very petite compared to the western standards. But to the locals, most of those "very" passable lady boys are frequently spotted, because their bodies are built larger compared to an average Thai genetic girl.

Now, I don't want this point to be confused with the average person perception of what is passable and not as this is wholly different issue!

Second, I have personally always noticed that most t-girls are at their best in the middle of their transition. I have seen plenty of YouTube videos of girls in transition for 2,3, 4 years and noticed that they were at their best during the 6 - 12 months period of their hormonal therapy. They tend to get puffy afterwards which is a kind of a turn off for me! There are plenty of t-girls here in Canada that in my view have lost it when they worked too hard on their bodies.

Third, on the assumption that a "complete" resemblance to genetic girls is possible, a t-girl would loose her unique feature. I am an advocate of being appealing and presentable as this is what really matters.

I have spent a year reading extensively about the hormonal therapy for t-girls as an example and started a very precise regime which suits well my needs for "minor" refinement and to prevent the damaging effects of the "excessive" testosterone on the long run without affecting my abilities as a Top. I am following my own recipe of hormonal therapy!

True, but if it is only because we feel we were born with the wrong body, then most of us will transition before we even reach puberty or at least before we hit 20.

Social environment, family, religion, etc might be a hindrance, but I personally think, it is not only "born with the wrong body", is the main factor.

I read an article few years ago, about a popular tgirl in Toronto who transitioned because she feel "more accepted" and "more loved" thus making her life much easier. I agree with that statement.

There are also cases that men transition because they want to have greater sex satisfaction. Shallow but it is indeed exist.

If I read this 3 years ago, I would agree with you.

But everybody is getting older. Tgirl who is unique and one of a kind can only be popular in her teen or early 20s. We can see this type of girl on the internet often.

How about if she is a 55 years old transgender? Don't you think she will be happier if she becomes more passable?
I've never heard or read a transgender who is "unique" in her physical attributes but yet happy in her personal life. There is a chance that she might be lonely at that age, don't you think?

Of course, girls should work in becoming passable. My point was to address those who take it too far!

There are girls who naturally need some refinements only yet the go to the extreme and lose it completely!

It is all about being passable and not identical to genetic girls. There is a distinction between the two, yet they are both adored in today's modern societies. with t-girls being especially unique and more intriguing.

Transition is difficult..

And different for some of us..

There's some that want to be totally female.. and a few of us that don't..

To me TS means more than transsexual.. it also means two spirit.. female and male..

I relate more to two spirited and see myself as both sexes not just one..

I also enjoy both sexes intimately.. men and women..

Yet I prefer to see myself as a woman and live as a woman..

That reminds me I have to send my papers off so I can get my Ontario birth certificate with an F instead of M on it..

Why.. because I don't see myself ever living as a male ever again..

People shouldn't be defined by their anatomy.. they should be defined by who they are..

I was talking with a friend just today who is thinking about "transitioning" and starting on HRT but is married and really just wants to live as a "shemale" but was asking me about changing govt IDs to a F gender designator. I told her I was able to because I have had a legal name change which I changed all my IDs when that happened and then I was able to change my gender marker because I have letters from my Dr and surgeon stating I am on HRT and have had M t F surgeries and the ultimate goal is SRS. I told her hopefully they will allow a "T" on Prov, & Fed. IDs for those in transition or those who decide that SRS is not their ultimate goal.
Everyone's journey and goals are different but I think the changes in laws are for those whose goal is to complete their MtF or FtM transition and I agree with that.

Yes, I agree. You are just fine the way you are and no need to transition further.
But my case is different you know.
First off, i'm not into women or tgirls sexually at all, only men.
Therefore, realizing that 90% men love women,don't you think my life will be easier if i become a woman?
Secondly, people treat and see me as a genetic woman, not even transgender (especially in the western world), and again due to that, i think my life will be easier and I will be accepted more in the society if I become a "real" woman. I'm getting tired of saying: : "err....you know....i have to tell you a secret...that i'm not bla...bla.bla"

Don;t get me wrong, i'm fine the way I'm..but I personally think it;s better for me to transition further, unless the society changes a lot in the future so more and more men will accept us the way we are as a transgender. The big question is: when will it happen??

I don't want to wait until i'm 70 years old you know LOL

I guess the only problem with the "T" idea is dealing with peoples prejudices, fears and phobias in the real world and the possibilities of discrimination based on that. Knowing that while in most cases being a passable female the bouncer/ID checker or even cop who pulls you over doesn't need to know anything further then that you are a woman.

Women who are attracted to t-girls are either lesbians or bisexuals. They perceive a t-girl from a feminine perspective mostly. Women generally know all the beauty tricks that men have never heard off and can tell what a real beauty from an "excessively"augmented one!

A compliment on my beauty from a woman is far more sincere and telling compared to a complement from a man! A girl approaching me in a lesbian/bisexual bar is more of a verification of how passable I am than a man approaching me in a straight club!

I get hit by more women the moment i have boobs, so even women love and appreciate feminine tgirls.

I agree with you with regards to excessive augmentation where the girls think the bigger the better. That's definitely NOT the case.
The key is: harmony and (well) proportion.

Ah...I can't wait to have my feminization surgery soon...and of course I will post some pics and I hope you can tell me your honest opinion.
