Wash, dry, and reuse plastic ziplock sandwich bags.

Remove the coffee grinds, rinse out, let dry, and reuse coffee filters.

    Use coupons when you shop.

Don't heat rooms that aren't being used.

Wear plastic bags on your feet before you put on winter boots with holes in them.

    Anyone have other ideas?

    P.S.
Please don't write things that include short changing escorts, bargaining their prices down, or tricking them into giving you extra services.

Take extra napkins and sugar, ketchup, mustard, vinegar sachets from restaurants and put the sachets into big jars at home.

Stop buying paper towels, and use a regular dish cloth instead.

Congrates....You just set a new record for the most posts in a row (5) from a beginning of a thread, without a response from anyone....

In a non internet, non forum universe (We call this "The Real World") we consider this talking to yourself or having a conversation with yourself.

              Just think.
You'll save your money by NOT buying lunches every day and start bringing your own, home-made, lunches.
It's usually healthier, and always less expensive.
You get to put all the extra cash into your "escort piggy" bank.

Oh, when buying your piggy bank, buy a "real" piggy bank - one that looks like a pig.
Think of that movie called, "Babe", with the sheep-herding pig, and come see me when you have saved up enough cash.

              Oink ! Oink !
              Grunt! Grunt!

Post any money saving tips you can think of.

Oh, here's another great idea. Cancel your home land-line telephone and buy a MagicJackPlus and pay only about $30.00 per year instead of monthly phone bills.
You get free voice mail, free long distance anywhere in North America, and several other features.
You can, also, have free international overseas long distance, too, if both parties have the MagicJackPlus gadget and the account.

                Cool, huh?

Use those free (or 5 cent) plastic shopping bags to insulate your doorways and rooms.

                  Baseboards:
Collect your plastic bags. Use a butter knife to stuff the bags into any spaces between the floor and the woodwork to keep out cold air or prevent losing your heat.
You really have to stuff in a lot because it usually takes a few bags to fill even a small space.
You won't even see the bags in there if you really push hard when the space gets filled to the max.

                  Doorways:
Close your front, back, basement doors and feel around the cracks for drafts. Fold the free plastic bags into thin strips, and then open the door and staple them to the wooden door frames to prevent the nasty cold draft from coming in.

You'll save money on your heating bills.

Easy to say, maybe not so easy to do... In some situations where the donation has to appear out of thin air and not be trackable, aka wife wondering where that money went, there is one word that sums it all up... Discipline.
As merely pink suggested, selling useless assets, but realize you'll only get maybe fifty cents on the dollar for most things, seems like a poor investment as you're spending a thousand a month to get five hundred back? That wasn't a personal shot, just a little economics 101. I could easily sell my dust collector, clothes hanger (treadmill) which would pay for a few sessions, but I'd hear" where did the money go from the treadmill?"
Oops, can't be doing that! I could quit smoking, would pay for a session a month," you quit and you're still broke?" See, not so easy.
So where does one find this extra cash that doesn't have to be accounted for? Babe brings up the number one way.... Take a lunch to work! Also maybe cut back on Timmies, take your own coffee. Then take what you have saved over the day or week and tuck it away. You'd be surprised as to how much you can save doing just this, and often overlooked by the significant other. But it takes discipline to do this. Month after month of one dollar cans of soup can be tedious, but if you are focused on your goals, you should have enough for one encounter a month. If you play more, cut more corners in your everyday life

                        Right idea - wrong method.

I think canned food is for dogs and cats (poor things).

Personally, the only food i buy in tins is Thai curry paste, and that's if i don't have time to make my own. And yes, i know how.
Same thing for coconut milk, i buy fresh young coconuts and remove the coconut meat and water and blend it all up in a blender, and voila, i have fresh coconut milk for home made Thai curries.

Maybe i'll buy a tin of sardines ONCE in a while but i don't eat any fish, generally.
                        Remember, i am a 98% vegan.

Guys and girls, avoid all the added salt and MSG in those tins of soup, and simply make your own soup.
It's so easy to make a large pot of soup that you can portion and freeze.

Guys, you'll just need a thermos for food and one for coffee, and a couple of dollar store re-seal-able food containers for bread and a salad, and you're all set to start saving big $$$$$.

One of the worst foods are those packages of dry Rama noodles. My gosh, there is so much salt and MSG in those things.

MSG is really bad for you because it's an excitotoxin that actually tricks your brain into thinking that you're still hungry. Ever notice why an hour after a huge plate of Chinese food, you're usually hungry again?...that's the MSG at work.
Chinese restaurants usually use heaping spoonfuls of the stuff to enhance the flavor of their dishes.

                        http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monosodium_glutamate

And yes, quitting smoking is hard to do, but when you REALLY put your mind to it, it's really easy.
I quit smoking, in 2009, in only four days, and i was really addicted to those nasty cigarettes from the Native reserves.
I am saving oodles of money, now, plus i can breath again without coughing when ever i laugh.

                          Just an example

I was just using that as an example, I should have said leftovers as too many times they sit in the fridge and eventually get thrown out. Plus doing that saves even more, the main point was to save away money that is easily overlooked by cutting corners on what we treat ourselves with on a daily basis. I actually took inventory of a months wasteful spending about a year ago and it was absolutely staggering how much there was. I'm not saying to cut out the treats, after all, people work hard for their money and deserve a few things here and there. Just cutting back on those things alone would be enough for some, maybe not the avid hobbyists, but the real trick is the discipline involved in doing so and one would find enough

As for treats, who NEEDS store bought treats!
There are less expensive treats than can be made at home that are much healthier and contain less junk than the stuff we see in stores.
Remember, those store bought treats are designed in laboratories, and the crap that goes into them is...crap.

                            I'm a treat.
                            There's no "crap" in me.
