The chain reaction .....

OK .... here is a partial explanation of the chain reaction:

The hearts you see represent the week of the month the picture was "found" so to speak. It DOES NOT represent that one picture is better than another. I have had speculative comments thrown at me about it so I thought I'd clear that up. The hearts also represent something else which I will mention at another time.

Why 5 pictures? Well, this is Spark's five year anniversary after all..

Fours

I mentioned a new game was in the making for this thread. It is a trivia / fill in the blank type game where at times the answer is obvious but on other occasions the answer is obscure. To provide a little history on this game it was an idea I had created with a few friends back in my university days. We had plans to market it and hold competitions and all that but in the end with other games being so similar to it we just abandoned that idea.

So here is how it works. I prove 3 out of 4 photos and its up to you to figure out the 4th in the puzzle. Here are some example:

In this case it is rather easy to see how we have the Queens from a standard deck of cards. and the 4th is missing. Your answer would be the Queen of Diamonds.

but there will be times I will put out something like this ...

So here we have The Beatles, Michael Jackson and Madonna. What could they all possibly have in common? Well, they are all involved in music but that wouldn't help with the answer right away. Then you may think if they have gold records and that may just work but then youd realise its not gold records because the sequence if off. Ok ....so theyve all had a bunch of hits. Perhaps if you googled "hits by artist" youd find that the musicians have a bunch of #1 hits to their name and you would see that the second spot for most #1 hits is Mariah Carey.

but hey if even that was easy for you forum mebers I would just make the puzzles harder to the point where you would think WTF!!!

Now I dont want to make this game impossible so that only a few people play because I really want to see if this catches on so we will take it light at first. I will also provide a clue to each puzzle.

So there you have it. Hopefully very very soon we can get this going and in turn make a tournament out of it in the months to come.

Here it is. The start of hopefully a fun and entertaining game. As time goes on I hope to do a tournament and perhaps talk to the powers that be to maybe even get some prizes to hand out. When you answer provide a reason if you can for it..If you can't no big deal but it would make it more interesting to see how people play. Answers do not have to be in the form of a question.

Ok. We have 2 puzzles. The first is rather easy and the other not so much. If you have no idea who the people are ask around.
