Same to you Jim. I have not seen you since July 2011 in Ottawa. I believe you were riding through.

Hope everything is well.

Everything is good, it has been quite a while, I know I really enjoyed meeting you, I'm still riding and still visit Ottawa and Montreal a lot in the summer on my motorcycle. Two of my favorite places, I recall there was a few ppl there when we met, but I spent most of my time talking to you,because i really enjoyed the conversation. How are the other girls that were there doing?

The Habs? Don't get me started....I have been pissed off since last playoffs. First that BS goal in Ottawa, then this is the part that PISSES me off. During the offseason, we had a hole at RW with Ryder leaving....I was excited seeing Right Wingers 6'3" Jagr and 6'1" Iginla. Both of whom have size, are 500 goal scorers and leaders. So what do we do? We sign another centre to our already growing list (Eller, Plekanec, Galchenyuk, Desharnais). Speaking of Desharnais, who gives this guy that stupid contract?

Murray and Parros were brought in for toughness....Unfortunately Murray is nothing more that a pylon, and Parros couldn't win a fight against Miss Piggy.

But at least we are not the Leafs....The season is 46 games old and in the Leafs last 31 games they have won only 4 in regulation. I see this and can easily see these players are not the players for the job. So they reward Kessel (8 years/64 Million) and Phaneuf (& years/49 million) with contracts they do not deserve, and these contracts will make these players impossible to trade.

About a year ago I wrote this:

The problem with Kessel is that he is very streaky and he needs other players around him for him to produce.

Personally, I don't believe Kessel is a good fit in Toronto (Streaky, doesn't hit, no heart). I honestly think that you should trade him and get assets for him. You could get a decent return for him, especially in a shortened season. By the time you have the pieces in place, Kessel will be in his 30s.

The only parts of your team that I would not move.... JVR, Colbourne, Kadri. Reilly. Right there I have 1/2 your top 6 forwards and 1 top pairing defenseman. I could fill out the rest moving other players for youth and draft picks. Edmonton threw their prospects into the lineup. These young kids should play....they can't do much worse than the vets.

1 year later I am still right. Both of these players should have been moved for assets for the future.

I'm really OK with Kessel. He is a streaky but most goal scorers are. He and JVR work well together but they certainly need that center. I hated him at first, but with the cap raising, I'd keep him for sure. The guy has a lightning bolt snap shot.

My problem is, PHANEUF, what an opportunity to move him. We blew that one. And Clarkson, what a total waste of money that was.

My only hope is that we can somehow keep Mason Raymond. He is the only good thing to happen this year. (And some decent goaltending)

And here we are, doing what we do best, second half of a real season and tanking it, same story.

I know most clients laugh at pre-booking, BUT as you noticed I encounter 36-48hr backlogs in GTA and other cities when I travel. Most of my regulars knows this and book their time as soon as I announce my visit.

JVR and Kessel would not even have made the team. We better not lose to USA.

Not sure about Subban over Seabrook. No idea why Seabrook was left out. I would have loved to see Taylor Hall too, but having a huge minus playing for Edmonton hurts.

To me they are all playing for Team Canada so I'm able to let that (any personal feelings for individual franchises) go for the World Championships, Canada Cup, and the Olympics, but I still have player biases. I try to let those go too, but remember in 2010 that I thought how ridiculous it was that Pronger made the team. He proved me right by being a friggin pylon out there.
