Montreal first cup 1916...NHL created 1917.

Want to hear a funny one. Toronto has won 11 cups not 13. The first 2 cups were won by the Pats and the Toronto Hockey Club. Not the Maple Leafs. That is like The Habs taking credit for the cups won by the Montreal Wanderers, The Montreal AAA, The Montreal Hockey Club and The Montreal Victorias. These teams combined won 26 cups. Meaning that if the Habs were as desperate for cups as the Leafs, our total is 50 cups.

I love how the Leafs claim Hall of Fame players that did nothing for them. Leetch, Fuhr, Gartner, Plante, Dicke Moore, Cheevers, Bernie Parent, Larry Murphy? When you have no decent players, claim others as your own....

C'mon, how long can you brag about the past? Was it 1993 the last cup you won? 21 years now? I realize we are much, much much longer, but do you really think you have a better team today? I don't know your team that well, but they don't impress me. Most nights the Leafs don't impress me either. We've been saved way too many times by goaltending this year. But to know we finally have one is pretty nice.
