Your Value will NEVER Change" A well known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a 50 peso bill. In the room of 100, he asked. ?Who would like this 50 peso bill?? Hands started going up. He said, ?I am going to give this 50 peso to one of you - but first, let me do this.? He proceeded to crumple the 50 peso note up. He then asked. ?Who still wants it?? Still the hands were up in the air. ?Well,? he replied, ?what if I do this?? He dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. ?Now, who still wants it?? Still the hands went into the air. ?My friends, you have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth 50 peso. Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless; but no matter what happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value. Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to those who love you. The worth of our lives comes, not in what we do or who we know, but by ?WHO WE ARE. You are special - don?t ever forget it.?

Excellent words and very true. We all have equal value MEANING we all are equally important and should be respected as such. We all have the same need and right for love, cumming and to live a life. Although there are 2 kinds of people in the world, the good people and the bad people. The good people are the ones who don't harm or F others over. The bad people are the opposite. It doesn't matter what our race is, religion is, age is, gender is, how rich or how poor, how pretty or how ugly, how mentally ill or how mentally stable, how sick or how healthy, how smart or how dumb, if you're the queen of England or a homeless drunken bum, you see out of all those kinds of people there are really only 2 kinds, good or bad. The good people no matter who we are are all equally important and should be respected as such. The bad people, well they're just plain bad.

            (yes I wrote that).

Wish I could take credit for these fine words but I copied and pasted them from a Filipino TGirl's profile on Cam4. I thought it was well said and appropriate for this forum.

Very valuable advice. Too many people derive their self worth from others, when it should come from within. Sometimes easier said than done.

I seem to have fallen into a place where the amount of money I made that week, month, year is determining my mood. Crap money = crap mood. Great money = great mood. Having a crappy year, so ..........

These words do make you think. I recently heard one about "as I get older, it's not so much about what I am, and becomes more about who I am." I like that.

                    Thanks Ray,

                      Ponder indeed..

                      Pondering..

When humanity reaches the point where no one wants that 50 peso bill.. then we will have achieved something great..

KC.. your mood should not be determined by money..

No one will ever achieve happiness and inner peace through greed..

Money has no real worth or value.. it is a tool of greed and oppression..

Anything that divides humanity is bad for humanity..

You're so right Alexis. Except (in my opinion) the part about money having no value or worth. We all have to live. We all need food and shelter. These cost money. We all have bills to pay. Some have people to support and many other financial responsibilities. Retirement, for many, becomes wishful thinking. Having your own business makes it even harder, as it entails employees who rely on you for their paycheck and livelihood.

For me, the greatest stress is having children that you want to support and help to get through University, hoping they will choose a field that will even have jobs available. Leaving them to rack up student loans and starting their careers being $80,000.00 in debt is crazy. I do believe that times are very different today. The young adults today are going to have a very difficult time just making ends meet and I want to stay in a position to help, whenever my children need it. Unfortunately, many of their needs will be financial. Can inner peace be achieved while freezing and starving? I have no idea, as I've been very fortunate not to find out.

Humanity - Let's face it, our system has failed. "Greed and oppression" run the system. We have to do the best with what we have. The problems lie too deep in government that will never change, and no real way to change it. It's gone on too long and it's us, the people, that have allowed it. We get comfortable. We get lazy. We say we're up for a good fight, but who will lead? Social media has only made it worse and we've become more lazy.

I've always been interested and try to live in a spiritual realm, where helping others also helps yourself. Today, those others are my family. I believe (as best I can) that something is looking out for me. I try to treat people as I would like to be treated, not holding grudges, and leaving things like revenge and regret to those that need these as a crutch. As far as judging others, I try my best but for the life of me I can't control that first thought that comes to my head. I can control of from leaving my lips.

Being aware that my mood should not be swayed by my earnings is certainly not the same as being able to stop it. But I am working on it. Maybe if I spent less time here and more time making money, my mood would always be great. Let's call it balance for now. I love it here too.

                          Sorry for the rant,

                          KC
