This is an absurd statement. If the right match comes in your path while you are travelling, working in another city, introduced through a mutual friend, etc it doesn't make you "wrong" because they happen to be somewhere else in the world. People can move to be together or travel frequently. Do you travel internationally? I do quite often and you can meet interesting people anywhere at anytime. There is more to the world than Canada.

Try dating women 40+ in Vancouver; believe me, it is not that easy with how demanding they are of what you drive, where you live, what you make, etc. Just because there are lots of single people in your city doesn't mean the one for YOU is there. The loves of our life just come in our path somewhere along the line; should you turn away a potential love because they happen to not live in Canada?

I understand people going on a vacation and falling "in love" in 5 days to a foreign girl is absurd and that is probably what you are referring to (the famous story of man falling in love with a Thai bar girl after 3 days and then it becomes a nightmare comes to mind). But there are plenty of legitimate connections, relationships, and love, that happen with people who cross paths during their world travels.

My cousin met an american woman while in Mexico 2 years ago at a resort. They kept in touch, visited each other regularly, and how he is moving to New York and getting married to her. I do not see this as being "something wrong" because he didn't find a canadian girl. One of my best friend met a woman while having a drink in a hotel lounge on a business trip 3 years ago. They exchanged emails, and he eventually visited her. Three years later, they just got married and are building a house together. There is nothing "wrong" with that either.

Sex offenders are the lowest of the low, hence their stellar treatment in prison, where they are usually murdered with some implement that was either crudely fashioned in a cell, or taken from the maintenance room. We have an obvious problem with adjudicating cases in question, and our screening processes are flawed as well. I am a proud Canadian who would die for his country. I have served my country and defended the rights of everyone within its borders, to voice whatever opinion they may have, so here's mine. I support anyone who shares a love of Canada, whether born here or a recent addition. However, I believe that after years and years of the same old same old (flawed judicial system), this country has garnered a reputation among the countries of the world, as being a generous and charitable nation. However, we are also making it easier for our neighbors to view us as a doormat. Walk on us, and send us your worst. I have been to many countries where this, for lack of a better term, wouldn't fly. I am not saying that Canada should adopt an as extreme approach as some of these other countries, however, we could be considerably more stringent with the requirements. For example:

One of the men facing child pornography charges has worked as an educational assistant at Teslin’s elementary school.
John Cafferata was allegedly found with “a collection of printed photographs of naked female children,” according to court documents.
He allegedly possessed 17,000 digital images on his personal computer and had written material describing violent and sexual assaults on children, said the documents, which were filed on September 10.
Last week, RCMP charged the 54-year-old with possessing and accessing child pornography.

Yukon government reps have refused to comment on Cafferata’s work at the school and his current status as an employee.

They said they could not discuss personnel issues.

But the affair has raised questions about the Yukon government’s screening policies for those hired to work with children.

All government employees hired under the Yukon Education Act are required to pass a security clearance, said Christie Whitley, an assistant deputy minister in the Education department.

“We have a very high level of clearance — what’s called a level three clearance — and this kind of check reveals whether an individual has ever been pardoned or investigated for a crime involving children,” said Whitley.

“It’s pretty rigorous.”

The Education department’s volunteers in the schools policy states people in any position of authority over a student must also consent to a criminal record check, according to the department’s website.

Does the government have a response to the charges against Cafferata?

“We can’t discuss personnel issues,” answered Whitley.

“If any employee is charged with a crime, the department would conduct its own investigation,” said Whitley.

And each case is handled on a case-by-case basis.

Officials at the Teslin school could not be reached for comment.

The community recently held a meeting to discuss the issue.

“There were concerns, but they know it’s being handled,” said Whitley.

“They are very comfortable with how things are being handled.”

Cafferata was released on bail earlier this week.

So he never touched a kid but downloaded naked pictures THAT OTHERS posted on the internet and he had violent and sexual assault type of writings which is wrong but you would be surprised what Canada actually allows young or older adults to do with kids or children. A 16 year old can legally consent with an adult of any age. A 14 year old pubescent teen can legally consent with a young adult of 18, and a 15 year old pubescent teen can legally consent with a young adult of 19. Claiming that theres only a 4 year age difference should not make this legal because 14 and 15 did not reach full adult size whereas 18 and over have, thats why the law declares 18 an adult but not 14 or 15, therefore the law is in fact allowing young adults to mix with pubescent teens that are not yet a young adult.

Women are legally allowed to feel sexual pleasures even to a sexual climax which is orgasm while breastfeeding a baby or child, and these women are in denial for not admitting this is a sexual act with the young ones while feeding as these women try to ignore those feelings. And the courts are no different because they free women who have sex with kids but not the men. There certainly is a double standard where women are allowed to but men are not and why is this? It depends what the content is but downloading or even paying for that certain type of porn does not equal years in prison, actually not even 1 day in jail or prison just as long as the person who downloaded it did not make the porn with his videocamera and of course never appeared in that porn. The law should not hold that innocent bystander who had nothing to do with the making of that porn in any way responsible and all is required is to simply delete or remove such porn from his household. Claiming that 10 or 1000 of those men were supporting that site by paying for the downloads is not a reason to have them arrested because the law should immediately close that site down to prevent others from downloading which is the law's responsibility and only have those who were directly responsible to be arrested which would be those who made that porn with a camera and most of all those who appeared in such porn, and in regards to the site that was distributing the porn, just a fine of no more than $1,000 to $5,000 at most with no arrest or jail sentence. The ones directly responsible need to be arrested, not the innocent bystanders who only looked at such porn, in fact such people can be of help by providing such porn so the law can indentify and find the persons directly involved, including closing that site where they downloaded from which is in fact the law's responsibility as quickly as possible to prevent other innocent bystanders from downloading.
