Forgive me if I misunderstand the question. Are you asking for information from SP's in order to compile a database/price list for all SP's, or are you asking for client opinion on market rates and their fluctuation and variance? If indeed it is the latter, I would say that the answer is as individual as the SP. I believe that there are some SP's out there that charge 500/hr and are worth every penny. There are those that charge 500/hr or more, and are not worth half of that amount. I know an SP who went from 200/hr to 400/hr in a matter of months. Same service, no glamour shots, nothing extraordinary; has been advertising the increase for months and seems to be having some success. Is she actually getting 400/hr in reality, who knows? Is she worth it? Depends on who you ask, based on their prior experiences. In my opinion, she is worth it, relative to what some are offering at 500/hr, however, she offers the same service at 400/hr, that she offered at 200/hr. On the other hand, I have had an experience with an SP that blew my mind, and the rate was nearly half the aforementioned SP's lowest rate. The point is not whether clients agree in theory, only how they express their opinion through the market in general. The market allows what it can support, nothing more. Clients might disagree with prices, but if they pay them, that is the important message that should be acknowledged. Market opinion IS how, and if they spend their money.

If one must make a judgement that encompasses the industry in its entirety, then I would suggest that the vast majority of the market follows an approximate average (200/hr); for the sake of a nice round number. Outside of that group you have the extremely affordable, and at the other end of the spectrum, you have SP rates that would require the assistance of a co-signer, in order for many to afford. I think if there was an average to be taken among these two outlying groups, it would quantitatively favor cases where a high hourly rate is paid, and the experience is not viewed as being commensurate with the rate. I think that there are more cases where an extremely high rate is not worth it, compared to cases where the extremely affordable rate ends up being an incredible experience and viewed as being more than worth it. If this is one's view than one might be of the opinion that the industry as a whole, is too expensive.

At the end of the day, there are too many factors that change based on circumstance to arrive at one answer.

Well pretty much like any business, the more you charge the less customers you get. BUT you end up making around the same money for less work.

I would be really skeptical of Johns dictating what my rates should be, but that's me anyway.

I have been in this business for almost two years now and can tell with confidence that a t-girl can charge whatever she wants within reasons. It all boils down to the t-girl objectives from this business. I know where the real clients are and I know that they don't even have the time to sign up in review forums. Seems the rate have slowing increased. Supply and demand, seems that have taken effect. The better girls will go for the $200 to $300. The funny thing is that the good ones are getting older and age is kicking in, I'm in the same boat.
