Earlier this year, one of our members attempted to convince people that there was no need for vaccines.

Obviously, the NYC courts disagree with this. The right to free religion does not allow you the right to place a biological weapon in a classroom. If your kid has not received his/her vaccines, they cannot attend school.

All these diseases that are making a comeback....you think it's luck? People have gotten to the point that they believe they are invincible.

Actually there are some issues with the carriers and the vaccines themselves from time to time..

Vaccines are known to kill people.. sometimes right there on the spot.. other times within the day..

It's totally true and not a conspiracy that vaccines kill people!

The vaccine for measles for example will kill 1 in 250,000 kids.. maybe even 2..

Left un-vaccinated those 250,000 kids get the measles 500+ will die..

If the bible thumpers want to insist on this shit they should have their children taken away..

I was just illustrating the stupidity of the anti vaccine people..

Sure some kids die or get really fucked up with autism or other things that destroy their lives..

Thing is there'd be 100+ times as many dead without the vaccines..

I'm vaccinated against pretty much everything possible except for the last couple flu shots..

I haven't had a flu in years.. the last one I caught was the swine flu.. got it from someone here in Canada after I got back from mexico in 2009..

The only thing I get is the common cold.. which is annoying..

The doctor who propagated this whole vaccines cause autism was thrown in jail for deliberately falsifying his research and results. Why people are giving any credence to this theory is a bit of a mystery. There is no credibility whatsoever behind it.

Jenny McCarthy's kid was never autistic. He was misdiagnosed. Experts agree on this.

It's not a bible thumper thing. Most religious people I know are in favor of the flu shots and other vaccines. The ones who aren't, are not basing their decisions on a religious reason. I'm sure some are somewhere, but I don't think this is the majority. Most people i encounter who are opposed to vaccines have usually been spending too much time on the internet listening to people who claims cannot be vetted nor verified.

I agree that it's not a religious thing. It's people who read stuff on the internet and instantly believe it. I also noticed that it's people who are big on conspiracy theories. They believe that doctors are just pawns used by pharma companies to convince you that you need vaccines so they can sell more.

I have been vaccinated for the major viruses. I don't know enough about it to say that it's good or bad. I do know that most doctors get their own children vaccinated, so it must be somewhat safe.

Check out the books "Bad Science" and "Bad Pharma" by Ben Goldacre. He does a science column for "The Guardian" and his books explain a lot of what is being discussed in this thread.

The principal reason we have so many people aligned with the anti-vaccine movement is that too few know how to distinguish junk science from real science. The problem arises when such poorly informed individuals read stories about vaccines in various media or on the internet, stories placed by those who are completely ill-informed themselves about the issue at hand, and then, mistakenly accept these stories as authentic.

Adding to the problem, is that there are a great many very authentic looking sites created by ill-informed and opinionated persons and currently posted on the web. To those unaware, these sites may appear to be genuine and authentic but in truth they have no connection whatsoever to the facts at hand! Unfortunately, those who don?t know how to distinguish this sort of junk science from real, authentic scientific research will readily accept this rubbish as information that is real and true.

The re-emergence of formerly almost extinct diseases such as measles is a result of the current availability of so much misinformation which in turn has been the cause huge numbers of grossly ill-informed folks who do not know how to protect themselves or others from harm!

Big pharma has it's scams alright.. all about the $$$.. Mainly in the USA..

Here in Canada it's harder for Big Pharma to get in because we have free state run health care for everyone.. If you need a life saving medication in Canada you get it even if you can't afford it.. If any politicians in Canada every try to take away our free health care we should assassinate the fuckers right away..

There are big scams and shady deals going on in the USA with Big Pharma and Vaccines.. Mostly about who get the contract to supply them to the 300 million people in the USA.. Lets say for exaple your company has a new vaccine that is like the old measles vaccine but you think it's better even tho it's not.. You spend $2 million to lobby and get it in as the new standard vaccine that will be used for 10 million new injections a year at $50 for each dose for the next 4 years.. the vaccine is not any better.. it just cost more and the kickback was better.. that's why it gets in..

Take Viagra for example instead of a vaccine.. The USA patent protects it and lets Pfizer fix the price at what ever they want.. $20/pill.. cost $0.20 to make it.. the packaging cost more than the pills.. They won't reduce the cost ever.. Same with lifesaving meds and vaccines.. they charge what they want because they have a patent that says they can..

Same with a vaccine.. the first one to patent the Ebola vaccine in the USA is going to strike it richer than ever.. Africa will order 1 billion doses at about $500 each.. maybe more.. it's a hell of a scam if you can get in on it..

If you think there's a global elite with a population control agenda you need to get your head out of your ass.. There's a eugenics movement out there yes.. all about purifying the human gnome and the future development of humanity.. Their plan is to eliminate disease and sickness.. They are trying to unlock the secrets of the gnome so we can live longer and grow replacement organs..

Like I said there is no population control conspiracy related to vaccines.. vaccines are good and save lives..

Other countries.. including Canada have stood up to USA Big Pharma in court and won.. Recently Pfizer lost a huge case here in Canada in regards to Viagra.. thanks to Canada we can now get a generic version at 35% savings..

It's not like we haven't heard about hundreds of USA cases of people dying because they couldn't afford the cost of the meds..

Big Pharma didn't help many of them.. Protesters and legislation has in some states.. in other states people still die..

Big pharma will not reduce the cost of the meds to make them widely available.. instead they stick to their high margins on newer drugs while people suffer and die..

To think for a moment that there's no shady deals in these multi-billion dollar companies that have private lobbyists spending millions on politicians is absurd my friend..

That's like when Big Tobacco said cigarettes don't cause cancer..
