Barely have i heard of violence against post ops.

However it is a disservice to the community to think that everything that happens to a TS is because they are a TS.
The fact is this is not the case and violence and depression happens to all people.
If it is violence, it is more likely to be violence against escorts than specifically TS, statistics will show this.
Everyone knows that many many cases of death involve a partner or lover and this is more likely than some random violence against TS.

Escorting, money, drugs, love, random violence and many other things can be to blame.
It is not like she lived the safest lifestyle continuing to be an escort.
(Sometimes discrimination against escorts is confused with discrimination against TGs)

I hope the reasons are found but I implore the community not to take every death and every issue as a shot against TS.
Put up your chin and understand the world is not the same as it was even 5 years ago.
TGs are very respected these days, and every bad thing that happens is not because of this.
Bad things happen to everyone and to channel them to one reason is ludicrous,
thinking bad things only happen to TGs is just plain wrong thinking. (Then you will be just like me)

I haven't met with Gizelle so I don't know her personally. However, I am aware of a girl that used to be in Ottawa (Red Hot Samara) who died few years ago and the incident was portrayed as "overdose". Since I started unplanned few months after her death, I became aware of her name from clients whom I saw in Ottawa. All of those clients were professional or decent type (as I don't see junkies at all) and all of them concurred that she wasn't a druggie type on the surface and I find it really hard for someone into drugs not to get noticed, at least on some occasions.

Two of those clients are very good regulars of mine and they don't know each other. Both of them spontaneously mentioned to me that there must be a hidden story behind her death that was camouflaged as "overdose".

Last, as Crag mentioned I am not in favor of the trans-phobia theories that much, society is generally moving forward. I live in a city once labeled as very conservative and for the most part did not notice a difference compared to cosmopolitan cities which I visit from time to time.

Even i shouldn't say anything for sure, a few very nice people passed away far too early.

In Veronica's case there was no foul play or drugs i heard of.
I knew Samara very well but had never actually known her to do drugs, she didn't even drink the times I was with her.
January, another good friend, in Vancouver was stabbed and passed a couple years ago, yet it appeared it was due to a drug deal gone bad.
Songkla in Vancouver too a few years ago was found in her apartment but she never drank or did drugs all the time i spent with her.
Tula way back is the only case that could have possibly been violence against TGs, but it could have just been an attack on an escort.
So most of the time it just isn't violence against the community.

I suppose drugs and suicide can be considered one in the same, even if you intention in doing the drugs is not actually to kill yourself, the results appear the same. So who is to really say in these cases. Even if it is your first time doing drugs it is still an "overdose".

It is a tragedy when anyone passes and they should be remembered at their best.
Just to always assume it is always just violence against TGs automatically, is a bad way to think.
Everyone on earth has complex issues and they don't always revolve around our gender status.

Red Hot Samara was a close friend of mine before she transitioned- it was sad what happened to her. From what I remember she did quite well, but then even after she died, i remember hearing horrible rumors that she got robbed.. (By this time I moved to Toronto from Ottawa).



Its sad what happened to Gizelle, The last time I spoke with her she was talking about going back to school.

The one term I hate is 'overdose' especially if it is 'accidental'. frustrating. because it gives the wrong representation of who the person is.

This article says exactly what exactly i experienced.
Someone heard about this with no facts and automatically spread that it was murder caused by transphobia intolerance.
People keep talking like there is tranphobic murders every day, whereas I cannot remember one in recent history.
Just the death of a TS in anyway promotes cries of intolerence.
People pass away, that's what we humans do, it can't always be some kind of issue.

If we are told about and there is proof, we will remove the profile immediately.
She is not available for appointments anymore, so why would we leave and ad up.
Who knows who is in control of her Phone or email box at this point.
Her family doesn't need her cell phone ringing off the hook with horny clients when they are trying to straighten her affairs.

Sites like facebook are different as they are more social and informational than business.
Sites like Adultfriendfinder seem like they never remove profiles no matter what.

We always try to do that the user wants, or what we feel is best for the user.
