This is terrible, she was a real nice lady!

Not sure how her friend thinks trying to dig up some controversy surrounding this is helpful.
It seems the initial report from the police was very generic for a reason, to keep some privacy for the deceased.
Now it seems they are going to force the police to reveal all which is probably not good considering what the results will probably be. They didn't mention she was an escort, nor did they mention drugs but they are being forced to expose all.

To say that police are specifically against Trans and Somali. What is her proof that the police have failed these groups more than any other? Only the Metro a dying paper would print this type of drivel.
Saying she was spotted early in the morning running around the streets that are frequented by prostitutes and drug dealers doesn't do an awful lot for her reputation. None of this needed to be revealed publically.

Thank You Lola for this update. Still saddened me that she is really gone, and also saddened that I could not be there to pay my respect. You and Alyssa are an angel, who I am honored to have gotten acquainted with during my clubbing days... You both welcomed me with respect, and I'll never forget your friendliness.

Gizelle/Sumaya and Lorena/Veronica ( who's early demise I just learned from this thread too, and who I have a chance to meet a couple of times at the club ) are GONE TOO SOON.

Bless their soul and may they find peace and comfort and happiness
that this world have deprived them of.

I almost got tears a few times

was just at Sumaya's funeral , some people were really cool and nice ; but some were in soap opera, so much acting ..I am sorry sister Sumaya ,I was just watching whats going on , I had no smile today and I am always a smiling person, because I look more pretty when I smile, but I didn't care to look pretty tonight, I was all about her , ALL I WANT TO BE THERE FOR HER IN HER BAD DAY , I had pray and I got almost tears thinking how nice she was, thanks for all other sports, SOME PEOPLE ARE JUST AMAZING and Alyssa VilellasSybil Lamb and I forgot the other black girl name , thanks to you guys being there for her xoxo

What a loss!

I had been wondering if we were going to receive more information about whether anything was being done to recognize Gizelle, so thanks to you Lola for making us aware of the funeral and for photos of the memorial!

I found it very sad as well that we had to find out almost inadvertently, about Veronica's release from her sorrows and so long after it had happened too.

Both these girls were so far from home and so alone!
