Next they took us on a short tour of a small Winery where they explained all about the vines and grapes. The grapes were just starting but the vines don't get much larger than you see here. Then inside show us the press, tanks and barrels. Wine Casks are always new and made from French Oak, this is the world standard forged in France. Then after a wine tasting of two of their early wines that are still in production. There was also a sexy asian girl who was the only one alone on this tour, she really gave me some hot looks probably due to my companion. Interesting stop before heading back to Bordeaux.

So we took the high speed train back to Paris and picked up a rental car at the train station. We then went to Cake's apartment for an hour to swap out our unmentionables then drive to Amsterdam.
On the way to Amsterdam i wanted to stop at the Canadian Vimy War memorial near Arras France. It was right off the side of the freeway we were on to Amsterdam so it worked out well. This is the site of Canada's supposed greatest battle in World war 1 where 4 Canadian divisions took this hill at Vimy which was occupied by the Germans. Thousands died to take this hill so a large memorial was erected to commemorate the dead, missing and injured. France gave the land to Canada in perpetuity, so we were actually in Canada inside France. Possibly the closest Cake can get to actually coming here. Also pictured is the trenches which have been preserved and the last pictures shows what our boys were fighting for.
This monument is also on the back of the new Canadian $20.
This has been a Canadian History Moment, sponsored by tgirl forums.
