US Supreme Court ruling announced today : States cannot prohibit gay marriage. Gay marriage is now legal in all 50 states.

Good day whenever there is progress in LGBTQI, civil and human rights and in this case people when people are allowed the freedom to love whom they wish and express that loving commitment in marriage. There will likely be a backlash in some of the more red-necked conservative states that were dragging their feet on this issue in the first place.

This is fantastic!
It's a win, I guess.

Part of the reason it is so great is I don't have to hear people complaining about it all the time.

Other than tax deductions and other financial reasons, i don't really see the difference.
If you are recognized by God then you are recognized, no court can change that.

Now everyone can experience the joy of over 50% of marriages ending in Divorce.
Living miserably together in a sexless marriage for years afraid to get Divorced.
All the fun stuff!

Often though it is just a matter of proving a point even though it is often that the grass is greener.....
