So while I was busy with View I had given my compact camera to FF because I thought he was going to the volleyball party at TJs bar. It is now November 7, finally the day has come for the Ladyboy Water Volleyball tournament at the Areca Lodge in Pattaya.

I got all my equipment ready and View said she wanted to come but she had to go home and change, so I gave her one of the tickets and she was going to meet FF and myself there later on. Time was running short so FF and I hopped on some motor bike taxis and zipped over to the hotel.

Things were filling up fast and everything was taking shape. There was the bar on one side and a food table where you could order many things such as Pad Thai and spring rolls. I proceeded to set up my cameras and stuff while FF went to get us some cold beers and food.

Later View made her appearance and she was looking great. I was lucky to have some first class arm candy for the tournament.
After the actual tournament View went and changed into her black evening gown and returned even more beautiful than during the day. There was a great buffet and presentations. The children from the orphanages that received some of the money came to sing.

Sanctuary of Truth

So we had one last day in Pattaya and we were taking it easy. After we finally got going later in the day we went for something to eat. FF said he wanted to go visit the Sanctuary of Truth, which would be the first real non-ladyboy sightseeing of the trip.

The Sanctuary of Truth is a huge project by some rich guy. He is building a huge sanctuary of wooden carvings that is supposed to be heaven recreated on earth. They are following old Thai guidelines for religious architecture and this building is apparently constantly under construction with new carvings and pieces added all the time. It is quite impressive.

Well that is it for Pattaya as FF and I decide to check out Phuket, Thailand for the first time. We check online and we get plane tickets on the same flight. I used my Aeroplan points and only pay $7 in taxes and fees and FF pays full price which still under $200. We arrive to the beautiful beaches of Phuket and head to Patong beach which is the main place for party action in Phuket.

Patong beach has a very famous street called Bangla Road or it is also known as walking street, it gets crazy every single night there. There is hundreds of bars and ladies, not so many ladyboy bars these days. They have small buses everywhere that they call tuk tuks but these are nothing like the tuk tuks in other parts of Thailand.

Our hotel is the Coconut Village Resort which is only about one block from the beach. It is fairly self contained and quiet and the complex basically surrounds the pool area. The rooms were ok but if you want the resort thing there is far better resorts on better beaches in Phuket, we were just trying to be closer to the action of Patong Beach. The resort was comfortable and not many families but there was a very high number of Russians who seem to be very prevalent in Thailand these days. We were greeted at the front desk by a ladyboy that worked there when we arrived. We had no problems bring ladyboys to this hotel either, with no extra fees. It was about $50 per night.

So the nice thing about the resort was that it was only 2 blocks from Tootsies Corner and masage. So we basically spent the days drinking beer there and the nights at cocktails and dreams. Here is a couple more pics from Tootsies. A couple of the pics are the girls spending the money we gave them on new clothes from a street vendor. They are trying on clothes in the back alley.
