So really the only pure ladyboy bar in Phuket these days is Cocktails and Dreams which is an institution just off Bangla Road. So FF and I spent all 4 nights at Cocktails and Dreams after taking a cruise of Bangla Road. Bangla road is just mayhem every night with every kind of bar and ladies overflowing out of most of them. It is much more commercial and westernized than other parts of Thailand such as walking street in Pattaya, but definitely a great place to party. Cocktails and dreams has many ladyboys on staff, each night there was probably more than 20. They also put on a show every night around midnight which is quite good. There is also a couple other ladyboy shows in Thailand but this is the only actual bar.

The first night i was kind of tired but I had my eye on Bella, so on the next I made sure to meet her.
After partying all night we headed back to my room at the resort.
Turns Bella's oral skills were among the best I've had so highly recommended if you ever get there.

Our last night in Phuket was also my second last night in Thailand. My last night in Thailand would be in Bangkok the next night so I wanted to save my energy and the last of my cash for that. So at the end of the night i just decided to go sleep. FF had paid the bar fine for Aom who was very nice but little did I realize that my date from the night before had added her 500 baht bar fine to my bill. So at the end of the night we were leaving and she said she was coming with me, and I said no I was tired and went to sleep. Then she asks why I paid the bar fine? I said I did not know I paid the bar fine and that she had scammed us a bit as I never agreed to take her home. Anyways she followed me down the street punching me in the arm. We decided to rent one of those Tuk tuk mini buses with a pumping stereo and drive around the beach for a while. We all got in including my unwanted companion. Eventually i convinced her that i was serious about sleeping and she finally went home. But after our ride we got back to the hotel and I got and angry phone call from her on Aom's phone, what a pain in the ass. It's not always perfect in Thailand but it was still a fun night.

So we get back to Bangkok on Saturday my last night in Thailand. I leave on Sunday at 11:30 PM for Canada.
I get a room at my favourite hotel in Bangkok the Phachara Suites, very comfortable and quiet yet close to the action.

FF is still resting so I text him i am heading over to Big Dogs for BBQ and beer. He texts he is getting ready so I have some beers and eat my chicken, pork and wieners fresh off the grill with some cold San Miguel Light.
Soon FF shows up and after a couple more relaxing beers at Big Dogs, we decide to go back and try the Fairy Bar in Nana Plaza. As I said earlier it was purported to be the largest ladyboy bar in Thailand with up to 100 ladyboys dancing at one time. When we went there two weeks ago it was large but fairly empty with maybe 25 ladyboys on staff.

So we go to where it used to be two weeks ago and we cannot find it. WTF?
Then we see the bar there is now called R & B bar. So we look inside and it is all girls in there.
Somehow it change to be a lady bar in the 2 weeks we were in Pattaya and Phuket.

So after that we said what the hell, lets go to Temptations. FF had never been there so and it was right next door.
We went in and it was fairly dead as usual maybe about 15 ladyboys around. So we sat there for a while and had a beer but we seemed to be almost the only customers. We asked the Mommesin about the bar next door and she was more than happy to tell us the whole story. She said they had some trouble with the police in regards to the ladyboys and decided to switch back to only ladies. Whether this was actually true i'm not sure. Since that bar has actually changed back to being ladyboys I've heard.

So we decided to ring the bell as I had done the last time. Well this certainly livened things up and the partying began. We got tequilas going and more than one it seemed. But soon we were surrounded by all the ladyboys in the bar and making noise. This of course brought some customers in because it looked like we were having fun and we were. I was getting drunk off my ass.

So far I hadn't asked any ladyboys to sit with me but after we rang the bell the two that were the most interested in me took a chance sat on either side of me. For the next couple hours or so i was making out and fondling these two lovelies, oblivious to much else besides the girls and my drinks. As i bought the girls lady drinks, the one always said in Thai to "make hers water".

Fantastic Cindy

So I somehow managed to get out of Temptations without a bar fine and we headed to Charades. This being my last night in town I was having a good time and was greatly wasted. Last Day in Thailand.

So it was a great night and now was my last day.
I had to leave for the airport around 8 pm as my flight left at 11:45pm.
Now I had never left this late before at almost midnight, usually I was having to get up early for an 8am flight which usually sucks. Usually you are up quite late so getting out the door for an early flight is tough.
At 8 or 9 pm the traffic is pretty good and you can be at the airport in 20 minutes.

During the day FF and I went to eat on this cool little street off Soi 11 at a Mexican place called Charlie Browns, that was a change from the Thai food. Then the other side of the street goes through a real cool jungle like hostel made all of wood.
After eating we took the skytrain from Asok station to On Nut Station to find a wholes pharmacy that Pinky took me to.
Drugs were like 40% cheaper than anywhere else, but it was closed on sunday.

So we get back to the hotels about 5pm and I have 3-4 hours before I have to leave for my flight. We are having a beer on my balcony and decide to go to Check In bar for a last beer. Check In bar opens early and stays open late. This may not have been the wisest decision but i'll get to that later.

It is only a 10 minute walk from our hotel at the Phachara suites to Check in bar so no problem getting back on time. We get to the bar and only the second string bar maids are in the house. These bars the new ladyboys or the ones that are not as passable or just part time CDs, they work as servers, almost never do they have boobs. They all will usually wear similar outfits like maids or school girls. They will get you drinks and take care but they are not the top tier ladyboys. The top ladyboys usually start a little later but you will see them starting to filter in at this time. Usually they will come to eat there or get food nearby. Then they change and do their make up before starting their shifts. Sometimes the bars, especially in Nana Plaza, buy dinner for the girls at a certain time to get them all to work. You'll find there is more free food around Thailand at various events than anywhere I have seen.

So we had a great time playing pool and drinking in the early evening. Many of the ladyboys on staff were trying to get my to go upstairs for one last short time, but I resisted. Anyways after far too many drinks we staggered out of Check Inn Bar back to my hotel. FF and I said our farewells and went and gathered my crap and went to the airport.

Business Class to hell

So i'm all good I am in my taxi on the way to the airport and it is about 8:45pm. I'm drunk off my ass but what can go wrong hey? So I get to the airport and I am flying business class all the way back so it should be fairly comfortable. I have to check in at the Asiana airlines counter as that is the Air Canada partner I am flying with to Seoul Korea. I bought the whole flight through Air Canada but they do not have any actual flights to Bangkok. Anyway the lady at Asiana is not the nicest and she says she cannot give me boarding passes all the way back yet, usually this is because of the time difference. So I only get one business class boarding pass to Korea and my "baggage tag". Flying business class I go through the premium security and immigration lanes pretty fast.

Asiana does not have their own lounge in the Bangkok airport so they send me to Eva Air lounge. I was hoping they would send me to the Thai lounge, but whatever. I could have gotten into the Thai lounge with my cards but I figured it would be ok.
There could not be a worse place on earth to be when you are are really drunk and starting to come down than the Eva Airlines Lounge. The decor is totally like a space ship or something and just makes you dizzy. The Eva air lounge was making me woozy.
I got some food and diet coke and tried not to look up to much.

Asiana sucks!

So I get on my business class Asiana flight to Seoul at we leave by midnight and arrive around 6am.
This is probably one of the most uncomfortable business class seats I have had, but still good leg room which is key.
The food was mediocre and nothing to write home about, I slept a tiny bit but not much.

So I get to Korea and walk forever to get to the transfer area and security point. After standing in line at security forever I am told I cannot go through because my bag is checked out in Korea. WTF, i wasn't paying attention at the Asiana Airlines counter in Bangkok, the stupid agent only checked my bag to Korea so it was out riding the carousel in the customs area. Normally any airline can check your bags all the way through to Canada but may not be able to give you all the boarding passes right away. Being drunk I did not notice the stupidity of the agent, but this had never happened to me in 20 trips so I wasn't paying attention too closely.

In the end i had to stand in line for immigration forever just to get to my bag, then I had to go through customs with my stuff. I was nearly falling over from being drunk and tired.
After that I could not get checked back in until 4pm when the Air Canada counter opened. So then i had no choice but to sit on a bench in the air terminal instead of sitting in a kushy lounge for 8 hours. I was worn out and hung over, it was awful.
I complained to Air Canada because this is totally bogus for a business class itinerary, but they passed the buck to Asiana.
