  • Pan Am Games + July4

Just wondering whether the U.S. holiday and the PanAm games generate more visits for the Toronto ladies?

I'm not sure if people actually travel to go see the Pan Am games or if the visitors are mostly the athletes. It's not the Olympics. In that case business probably won't be up especially the way they have the traffic set up. At least they have that new train from the Airport now!

Traffic says: No way I am going near there....

People were already upset about the car pool lane when I was there early June, and some dude on the radio said not to travel during the Games unless you had to. Sounds like a Zombie Apocalypse than a sporting event.

Thanks for the responses. Ladies I know report that things are slow. Not much to show for with the PanAms except a huge traffic snarl. Too bad.

At least with that new train maybe some ladies won't stay out in Mississauga all the time now.
The return trip to Pearson in a taxi or Limo cold run you up to $120 in the past.

Hotels are still a little more downtown but if you watch for deals on hotwire and such you can do pretty good though.
