This is why James Neal was placed with Malkin, and the same reason Kessel will play with Malkin which made him expendable.

I still don't understand how they are going to keep the puck out of the net...
Hating them doesn't change things. It doesn't change the fact that when these players control the puck their teams score considerably more goals then scored against. That's the object of the game in the end.

James Neil was traded because he was an asshole. You like stats Shyla...check out James Neil's goal scoring before Crosby and then with Crosby. Malkin is also a bit of a loose cannon and can cost the Pens a few games. But when he's on, and disciplined, watch out! Therefore James Neil, such a dirty player ranks with Mat Cooke, was a liability with Crosby or Malkin.

I watch a lot of Pens games out here and it's unbelievable the missed opportunities (goals) of Crosby line mates. I would score 20 - 30! They should adapt to Crosby who handles the puck...find yourself some open ice, he'll find you. Gretzky never changed his game to suit his linemates. Nor did Brian Trottier (Bossy) or Getzlaf with Perry and so on and so on. Bret Hull didn't so bad either with Adam Oates setting him up. Hull seen very quickly, and had a knack for getting in the clear combined with an accurate cannon of a shot. Which leads to Ovechkin...nothing without Backstrom feeding him. Crosby passes as well as Backstrom. These other guys need the skill to finish the play. Kessel, with his shot, would definitely be better with Crosby setting him up, or Malkin.

Great goaltending keeps the puck out of the net. Montreal does not have a great, depth defence, their best defence was/is Carey Price. Fleury led the NHL in shutouts last year, had a great season, he will again. And Pens will score more, as will a more mature Oilers. ))
