  • RIP Prince Gone at 57

Latest news is Prince was found dead in his home.
    No details have been released.
This is a great loss to music and live shows.

One could say that Prince blurred gender lines and rebelled against the establishment.
Androgyny was one of his characteristics.

    He will be missed.

    An original among originals

Great talent! Songs may not have been for everyone as he just preferred to record what he liked, not necessarily for mass acceptance.

Saw 3 concerts. Never disappointed. Could play guitar like Hendrix and every other instrument in his band.

    Will be missed

at the sake of probably getting alot of hate for saying this....he's a legend in the industry but why does his death mean so much to so many? You know, same with every other name, i didnt know them personally so why does it mean so much to them? It sucks but hey, what can you do...

He's more than just a music legend. He is a guy with all the talent in the world and just lived the way he wanted.
Prince did not care what others thought or if he was a commercial success, he just happened to be a genius.
He could have made far more albums than he did, but he wasn't materialistic per se.

I thought he particularly was of interest to this forum because he lived his life without caring what others thought about what he was doing.
He just did his thing which is what many people aspired to.
Many Transgender get all caught up in what everyone thinks, when often it makes no difference.

Prince was androgynous and quite effeminate but there was never a big controversy about it.
He had nothing to hide, however no one was trying to dig up his dirt either, maybe there was nothing to dig.
Nobody seemed to care about his sexuality even though there seemed to be a sexual tone in all his music.

Lots of people die and it doesn't make much difference to most people.
Prince was a role model and the kind of soul many aspire to be.

I mean Chyna from the WWE passed away also today but I couldn't give a rats ass,
however I suppose she inspired someone.

            No hate...just my opinion:
I see the death of any artist as a loss to us all, whether I was a fan of their art or not. They enrich the world we live in, and their deaths make the world a little bit more drab and colourless. In Prince's case, I'm not the biggest fan of his music, but he was an outstanding guitarist and a brilliant composer/songwriter.

            Anyway, just my 2 cents
