        WHO Report on global HIV/AIDS 2006


        Proportions of HIV infections in different population groups by region, 2005 (page 5) :

        (men having sex with men)

        Latin America 26%
        East Europe and Central Asia 4%
        South and Southeast Asia 5%

        Globally, 63% of all persons infected with HIV are living in sub-Saharan Africa, with women bearing a disproportionate part of the AIDS burden.


        HIV affects us all.

          simple rule i live by ... "Trust no one..." reguardless. and its just b.s what some say that a condomn reduces the feeling. it feels just the same and your life is worth more than just getting your rocks off.

            Oh no you don't!!! You're quite the rascal, pulling these figures out of the blue, but we were talking about SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED HIV, right? Which wouldn't include contracting AIDS intravenously (as in drug users and transfusions), mother to child transmission, breast feeding, tattoos and piercings, etc.

            Your figures DON'T differentiate between all the many ways to contract aids. The fact remains, that in reference to sexually trasmitted HIV, the AIDS virus feels most at home in the deep, dank, stygian anal recessess of TS, TV and Gay prosti... er' providers. They interviewed an AIDS virus on 60 minutes last week, and it confimed this. You must have missed it!
