Actually i posted this topic, because the was a terrible discussion yesterday about tgirl that was very discriminating.

Unfortunately, i got a PM from one of the tgirls saying that i tried to insult her infront of everybody.

Actually, it was the otherway around. I am part of the community and i believe every tgirl deserves some respects.

Too bad that everybody can create other nickname so it's difficult to track it down.

Here what i can do:

Last but not least...,

I login several times today because frankly speaking, i am quite disturbed by the misunderstanding.

I also share the pain like most of us, transgenders...so i will be one of the last persons who want to hurt my other "sisters".

I am done for today and having plenty of time to write right now.

After a careful thought..I've decided to give more "volume" to this topic and take it to another level.

First of all, I am not trying to promote myself on this topic. It's primarily because i want to give better understanding and more appreciation to transgender community in general.

Secondly, by saying: i want to see "TV and Ts" as a big family, does not only mean "let's party together.." (eventhough i'm ok for that if my time permits)..but really should be much..much deeper than that. It means as a "big family" we will also share common understanding, knowledge, norms, etc, so other "family" (e.g: our customers, straight community, etc) will appreciate us more. That's my real intention.

Since my other sisters are pretty shy (i guess) to write their comments. Let me start myself by giving tips, knowledge,and experience as a Person, Transgender, and Escort.

Many sisters in this forum work as an escort like myself. Therefore, let me start sharing my knowledge and tips as an escort. Hopefully by sharing my experience, my sisters (especially for those who's just started or plan to do it) will have better point of view and (at the end) hopefully will share SIMILAR UNDERSTANDING AND KNOWLEDGE (as my intention) as a "big family".

I will divide this part into 3 sections: " Before Escorting", "In the business", and "Plan for the future". I will do my best to make it as short as possible so it will be easily understood.

1. BEFORE ESCORTING:

I personally never have any intention at all to be an escort. Nevertheless, as a Transgender my choice (especially in a professional life) is much more limited compared to other "normal" people. So like it or not, here i am..an escort.

I did some research before doing it, and try to SEE, POSITION, and DIFFERENTIATE myself to other TV and Ts escorts available at the time (basically, it's just simple marketing knowledge that all of us have learnt from school)

Let's see what i've got here: Here are the most important criterias as a good escort (from my point of view):
1."face and body" are okay.
2."Down below" are so-so.
3."Breast" oh well, let's forget it.
4. "Age" is ok
5. "Sex drive" and "willingness to meet many men of different type" is good. (lot of sisters have problem with this criteria since we prefer to meet ONLY certain type of clients (e.g: young, handsome, and masculine) so the quality of service will not be the same to everybody.
6. "Attitude, professionalism" is good. (are you open minded? Into some fetishes? this is part of professionalism)
7."Versality" is ok.

If you can say good or excellent to all the criterias above..you have a very good chance to be successful;
So let's measure ourself objectively and give some improvements to some areas that needed (e.g: attitude and professionalism are pretty easy to be learnt and improved).

As you can see i am not perfect at all..so i know exactly i cannot rely on this business for a long period of time, maximum probably 3 years from now, so i've known from the very beginning that i have to SWITCH into another profession before that time and before PROVERTY takes place.

POSITION:
How i position myself "against" my beautiful sisters? Here are some important questions:
1.Where do my sisters live or operate their business? Downtown
2.What service do their offer? Full service. Ok, is it really full service? No (based on several complaints i read)
3.What do they look like? Very Beautiful (i saw Suzy's, Carolina's, and Paris's pic and wooow they're amazing). Is it really a recent pic? I don't know
4.Can I find some drawbacks? I did again some reseach....and i saw some plus and minus of my sisters and i then came up to solution since i know exactly how to position myself in order to compete to my sisters on the market.

Here are my solution....

DIFFERENTIATE

I came up to solution:
1. Only Samara was the closest to my type and she operated her business downtown.
2. None of the shemale provides free parking or operate in a (nice) house
3. None of them selling words such :au naturel"..i guess clients might like to hear something different like this.
4. There are some lies on the industry. Can i bring more honesty into the business? Well, it's hard but i do my best.

So after studying the market, i try to be DIFFERENT compared to other sisters. And as you know by now..i live in East York..bla..bla..bla.

2. IN THE BUSINESS

1. Try to maintain all the criterias above into top shape and condition.
2. Learn from mistakes, ask some questions to each client..what do they like.., do they like something more on the service, ask them for some inputs..etc..be constructive and positive
3. Knowing our limits. DO NOT TAKE ANY CLIENTS IF WE ARE ALREADY TIRED OR NOT IN THE MOOD. Clients who are not happy WILL NOT come back and WORSE they will tell to 10 people (rules of thumb). DO NOT TAKE DOUBLE BOOKING.
4. Buy a cell phone or phone that has huge memory capacity. we need that really. SAVE EVERY PHONE NUMBER RECEIVED (make sure they are not public phone). CATAGORIZE THEM. Read this carefully:
a. if the caller is not serious, saved the number as "NS" (non-serious), so next time when he calls us, do not bother to answer.
b. If we are not sure whether or not he is serious. CATAGORIZE THEM AS "omc" or "one more chance". TELL the caller that next time if he calls, just leave a message for an appointment and we'll get back to him as soon as possible ONLY IF he want to book his time. SO WE could avoid NON SENSE TALKING. Tell him politely and professionally (since i assume we gave him all the necessary information about us e.grice, location, etc).
c. Save our Clients' number. IT IS SO NICE TO SAY....HI JOHN NICE TO HEAR FROM YOU AGAIN...rather than..WHO IS THIS...?
5. Slowly but sure try to fill up our time with something more productive, positive and different. Learn new thing and Plan for the future..the nature of the business is: we start having quite descent income and it will gradually decreasing over time (due to age, new faces, other channels have been successfully created on the market (e.g. live chat, live show on net, shemale massage, etc).

PLAN FOR THE FUTURE

Rules of thumb is : we have to have 2 millions in asset (investment) in order to live comfortably by the time we are retired ( with average inflation rate of 3% a year, and average return on investment of 5% a year). It's hard. It's so difficult to think about this issue when we are still in our 20s. But honey all of us are getting old every day. The earlier we plan for our future, the better the result will be.

1. Set objectives and realistic goal:
write them down and develop some strategies and plan to achieve them. Let's say: ok, i think i will make extra $300 bucks a week by doing internet chatting or simply by working part time. That's great. What's is your short term goal, mid-term or long term? Be realistic! Goal of meeting a nice husband for the future is not a goal but merely a dream.
Financial goal starts with writing down our income and expenses. Rules of thumb :50% of our net profit (Income minus expenses) should be saved for our future. Put the money into funds or other investments instead of just "letting them" sitting in our bank account.

I cannot give my own goal here since everybody has different goals for their lives.

2. For those who work full time as an escort, i suggest to DECLARE OUR INCOME. It's safer that way.
3. Take a good care of ourselves and PLAY SAFE. DO NOT LET EXTRA 100 BUCKS TO MAKE US DO STUPID RISKY THINGS.
4. BE DOWN TO EARTH. Do not think too much of our beauty. Who is the most beautiful shemale? is not important but
Who is the most happy, balanced, fulfilled TS or TV is much more important. In other words, do not spend too much money on surgeries unless it is something that is NECESSARY. For something small, let say..my eyes are not 100% symetrical and i need surgery (but nobody realizes that ) is simply wasting money.

Let me see, TIA was honest enough to admit that she is planning to say a cool million for here retirement. At 200 buck/hr that is 50,000 visits/hours. Now if you break it down further, and provided that she works 6 days a week and on the average 5 visits per day, that makes 30 hours per week. And if you devide 50000 hours / 30 , you get a total of 1666.67 weeks or 32 years. Granted she will be using the interest from her savings as a living expenses, TIA will have to be on her knees 5 hours a day, 6 days a week, for 32 years. This 2 millions is a RULES OF THUMB..., not necessarily my personal goals. It is taken by one of the financial books that i've just read recently. Considering the tax bracket of 25%, inflation rate of 3%, and ROI 5%, yes hopefully we could live comfortably as a middle class Canadian.

However, considering my situation right now...i am still far below this goal. One more thing, i do not plan to work as an escort for long.

Just to give it more perspective, you will be paying more than 25% tax. That is for sure. 25% would probably cover federal tax, but not provincial tax. Oh and don't forget paying GST and PST on pretty much all purchases. Overall you're more likely paying around 45% tax or higher with that kind of money.

Also, don't forget, the money that you save, you pay tax on interest too, at the same rate you would pay with your high income tax bracket. She wouldn't get 2.7 mill after 25 years...go back to your calculations.
